Did you know that you can train more than just your quads on the Leg Extension Machine? Here's a leg extension hack where the muscle training focus on your leg day switches from quads to glutes! You're actually setting yourself up to perform a hip thrust variation using the Leg Extension Machine and you can even do this unilaterally too. If you're looking for something new, this is definitely not a common movement so hopefully this glute exercise gives you something fun and effective to try. I think the best frequency recommendation to first attempt this glutes exercise with is doing 3-5 sets and working in the hypertrophy rep range of 6-12 reps. You can of course though experiment with other rep ranges like endurance doing 13+ reps or also with a strength base of doing 1-5 reps. Whatever works best for you to get them glute gains Aliens! Next leg day, follow up your quad work with a glute activation focus and go have some effective fun unleashing those glute strengthening hip thrust gains on the Leg Extension Machine! 🍑👽
