Thank you! This is our first year celebrating the feast days and Passover. We aren't Jews or Hebrew Roots. We have celebrated Christmas but we don't celebrate it as Jesus birthday and will likely be stopping. Never have done easter bunnies or Easter eggs. My husband has been studying with an open mind trying to ignore all the things men have taught us for years. We started following levitical laws this year. We believe Jesus did not do away with the Torah but came to show it can be done.
Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm all for getting away from the ways of the world and the heathen (Jeremiah 10). Just don't allow it to become a system of bondage or self-righteousness. Remember, Jesus IS our righteousness.
This was a breathe of fresh air to hear people who have studied out the WORD and aren’t adhering to pagan holidays while also not trusting in the LAW, but also not viewing the LAW as insignificant. I love the blend of trusting in Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior, putting away paganism within Christianity, and viewing the LAW as wisdom/by the spirit and not by the letter. Hello Felicia. I'm a 65 year old man born and raised Jewish and have been a believer in Jesus Christ for over 30 years. Just a bit of information. In order for matzo (unleavened bread) to be certified kosher for Passover, it has to meet certain standards. The baked matzo must have the burned stripe marks and small holes, and then be blessed by a Rabbi. The interesting things , that the Jewish people don't recognize, is that this follows Isaiah 53 where it says He was pierced for our transgressions and by His stripes we are healed. Since Jesus is the bread of life, this scripture, as Christians know, is a picture of Christ's suffering and atonement on the cross. In the Passover seder, there are 3 pieces of matzo on the table covered by a cloth. Jews don't realize that this represents the trinity. During the seder the middle piece (called the afikomen) which represents Christ, is broken in two and the larger piece is hidden away and after the seder the children go looking for that piece of matzo. This follows the scripture that says that we must become as children to enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt 18: 2-5)
It does say we are to follow these instructions for ALL generations. The instructions (law) is for all people who follow Our Heavenly Father/Yeshua (Jesus) Blessings and Shalom
@@sandraschafroth8573 Yes! Our Heavenly Father tells us in Leviticus 23 :2 that the Feasts are His feasts for everyone to do, not just The Tribe of Judah. If you read the whole chapter, He tells us that these feasts are to be celebrated for all generations! We we accept Jesus we are grafted into and with Israel Roman 11 tells us that we are grafted in with Israel.
This is a spiritual grafting. Christians have no mandate to destroy and conquer the Canaanites, to put to physical death those who work on Saturdays, etc. And the feasts were to be kept by all generations of physical Israelites. And I'm certain that most who believe they are commanded to keep the feasts conveniently leave out all of the specific ways they were commanded to keep said feasts. For example, do you keep a live lamb from the 10th day until the 14th day and then slay it, yourself, as Exodus 12 commands. This is only one example, but I'll be there are many others like it that you do not keep. The law isn't a buffet - you can't pick and choose. It's an all or nothing proposition: "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." -Gal. 3:10
We observe Lords supper. My husband is the pastor and he has always had me make the unleavened bread. This year was my first year to use fresh milled flour. It turned out great after practicing a bit. By the way I Love your library! 😊 I appreciate you coming on and talking about this subject as it can be very controversial. That is awesome! I think the Lord's Supper is an actual supper we should share with believers, taking the time to remember the blood and body of Christ. The way it is observed in modern church organizations seems so Catholic to me.

We do not celebrate Easter or Christmas either since learning the truth years ago. I personally don't eat pork because China owns American pork in stores. I will eat pasture or wild hog. We just finished Christian Passover, which foreshadowed the Lamb of God -- Christ Jesus -- using the Zadokite calendar (which means Passover is over for us now). I REALLY missed eating bread -- and ended up making "chapatis" in our toaster oven almost every day. I was so glad to have some whole grain "bread"...! I probably undercooked it the whole time, but it was still good, haha. I made it very much like you showed in this video -- but did not try it with kamut. We are not Hebrew Roots, but we are whole bible believers and I personally do not believe that just because of the crucifixion the Father stopped finding eating bottom feeders like shrimp and pigs to be unclean. I do NOT believe that it is a salvation issue and I do not follow His instructions on things that I can do in order to be saved -- I do it because I know that following His commands is a good love language between us and God. We do not do Passover or any of the Lord's feast days like the "Jews" did. (I put Jews in quotations because the Israelites were not even CALLED Jews in the Old Testament. Also, by the time Jesus walked the earth I do not believe that the "Jews" were keeping God's commandments -- ESPECIALLY not the top dogs such as the Pharisees. A lot of research has been done that shows that the Pharisees were actually Hasmodians (from Iran) and THEY were the ones that destroyed the temple. And like the old saying, "History is written by the victors." I believe Jesus knew all this and that is why He called them the Synagogue of Satan, etc.) Anyhow, I love doing things just because I love to please God -- and it also gives me practice doing something that *I* might not prefer just because I want to please Him. Example: I was a very longtime bacon and shrimp lover. I also take it very seriously when Jesus said He did NOT come to destroy the law -- not one jot or tittle. "Fulfilled" and "destroy" or "end" are NOT synonyms. I would not disfellowship with other believers over things like this, and I do NOT think I keep the "whole law." I know I don't. I just do what is clear to me as something that might be pleasing to God by reading his commands throughout the Bible.

@@GrainsandGrit Zadok was a Levite priest -- easiest to quote from Wikipedia -- who was "biblically recorded to be a descendant from Eleazar the son of Aaron. He was the High Priest of Israel during the reigns of David and Solomon. He aided King David during the revolt of his son Absalom, was subsequently instrumental in bringing Solomon to the throne and officiated at Solomon's coronation. After Solomon's building of the First Temple in Jerusalem, Zadok was the first High Priest to serve there. "The prophet Ezekiel extols the sons of Zadok as staunch opponents of paganism during the era of pagan worship, and indicates their birthright to unique duties and privileges in the future temple." The RU-vid channel "The God Culture" is not a preaching channel but is a channel that a married couple who are believers and work with other believers doing RESEARCH due to the victors writing history -- to find out what is true and what is not in what is considered true biblical history. And they have uncovered a LOT of astonishing things that really FIT. Oh, and I should mention that the Zadokite calendar that we go by is the closest that Dr. Michael Heiser could find that could fit with Daniel and Ezekiel and is considered to be the calendar of the sons (or descendants) of Zadok. Quoting Wikipedia again here (just because it is so easy): "Zadok himself was the first high priest in Solomon's Temple (10th century BCE). His descendants were high priests in that temple until its destruction in 587 BCE. Ezekiel's prophecy came several decades after that destruction, and describes the Zadokite family's loyalty to God while the rest of the nation rebelled against God. "The sons of Zadok are mentioned four times in the Hebrew Bible, as part of the Third Temple prophecy in the final chapters of the Book of Ezekiel, and are a theme in Jewish and Christian interpretation of these chapters." The God Culture (a website, YT channel and book publisher) which is run by Timothy Schwab and his wife makes some claims that sound outlandish -- at first. But then is it so surprising that the Pharisees (that did not EXIST in the Old Testament) were really the Hasmodians that destroyed the temple and that the MacAbees (sp) -- followed as scripture by the Jews -- is a total hoax? They took over "Judaism" kind of the way the "elites" have taken over the governments in the world. And is that such a surprise? I found it very helpful -- especially when remembering how Jesus called them a generation of vipers and of the synagogue of satan! Well, there is just too much to mention here but I've left enough information for you to research further if you care to. Regarding the law, I have a different sort of background in my walk with Christ Jesus than most people. I was brought up by agnostic/atheists and had grandparents that were very lukewarm Christians (the 3 times a week at church ONLY kind) and my entry into Christendom was very piecemeal in some ways, beginning with my father refusing to allow me to get baptized when I was 11 and living a year with my grandparents. He was the world to me and I thought of my biological father as the only person in the world that was really important and I was disappointed to pushed Jesus out of my mind and got into the "lighter side" of the occult instead because I had so many questions -- which all were answered WRONG, but I didn't know it. Longer story short, I had a very dramatic conversion to Christ Jesus when I was 29 years old and by that time I was embarrassed to be a Christian -- but got over it when I read what Jesus had to say about that. All the churches I visited in the town of my OTHER grandmother -- who was more of a believer but did not talk about it -- and where I lived when I had my dramatic conversion (which was basically an exorcism of me through prayer and my accepting Jesus as my Lord at that time), every single church I visited in that town was MESSED UP. I was okay, but by the end totally down on brick and mortar churches. Long and longer story shorter, I THOUGHT I was a Christian for 30 years before by God's Grace the scales fell off my eyes and the Holy Spirit showed me how incredibly blind I had been once I had discarded the Bible thinking it was "archaic" and "not for our times" and started believing just about every book that claimed to have a true story about Jesus in it. Oh, I was a MESS....but never stopped loving Jesus and always considered myself a Christian although it was only in my love and thankfulness toward Him and the LITTLE I had memorized from the Bible and obeyed that held me in some kind of grace that saved my life who knows how many times. Anyhow, for the past 11 years -- since 2013 -- I am ALL IN with the Bible, Prayer, Christ Jesus and OBEYING Him. I was not taught by any person or church about obedience but just my life experience and most especially by the Bible itself. Just in my own passionate reading of the Bible -- wanting to NEVER stray from Him again -- it is so clear to me how important obedience is -- and how important it is to obey BECAUSE HE SAID SO and NOT because it makes sense to me. It usually DOES make sense, but I do not require it to make sense. I just require it to be from the Bible -- and Jesus IS God, one of His three "aspects" if you will and He IS the Word, even though I can't wrap my mind around that. He said it again and again so I know it is true. And obeying Him is how He wants to show our love for Him. When I read the Old Testament I see it as just alive as the New Testament. There are things I cannot understand and do not even try to obey because I would be too lost to try to -- but even Noah knew which animals were "unclean" before Leviticus was written. I believe unclean animals were not CREATED for us to eat. I do not believe anyone will lose their salvation by eating unclean things -- but I choose to not eat what I know God has called unclean. I enjoy obeying Him in ways that don't necessarily make sense to me and that require me to deny my carnal desires (such as not eating pork or crab or shrimp). There is so much to learn in the Old Testament -- as well as so much I do not yet understand. But a LOT of things are there that tell me to meditate on God's laws. I really feel deeply within the the truths that I CAN understand in the Old Testament as well as the new, such as Psalm 1:2, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." To me, it is a delight that I do not believe Jesus "ended." In fact, Jesus made some laws a LOT bigger than they were in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament you had to be intimate with another in order to commit adultery; but Jesus expanded that meaning and told us to even lust for another than one's spouse was adultery. Same with hating our brothers -- that to hate them is as bad as murder. People act like Jesus is so much "NICER" than the God of the Old Testament, but to me He is the SAME God, being explained to us in His different aspects. I do not judge people for what they believe -- I only pray that they come closer to God, to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. For every single one of us it has been a widely or slightly different path to the same TRUTH. Much love! Michele

I celebrate the same feast days as Jesus. I do believe we have been commanded to celebrate for all times. As far as the diet goes I avoid unclean meats and have had health benefits from this. I don’t push my feelings on anyone because I believe that YHWH has a path for each person at the moment they are at.
@@mercedeslopez2655 the book of Leviticus is where I learned what was the rules for clean and unclean meats. I am still not 100% sure on fowl. Fish have to have scales and fins, meat has to have a split hoof and chew their cud. Pigs have the hoof but don’t chew the cud. Horses chew the cud but don’t have the split hoof. Rabbit don’t have the hoof.

One website gave this guideline that I find helpful: From the list of unclean birds listed in the Bible, six characteristics have been identified as separating the clean birds from the unclean birds: - a clean bird has a craw or crop - a clean bird has a gizzard with a double lining which can be easily separated; - a clean bird is not a bird of prey - a clean bird does not devour food while flying - a clean bird's hind toe and middle front toe are both elongated - when a clean bird stands on a perch, it spreads its toes so that three front ones are on one side of the perch and the hind toe on the opposite side. All unclean birds lack at least one of these six characteristics. But mostly I just go with the obvious (and the only birds I find to be available to me): chicken and turkey. Quail was sent to people to eat in the desert, so that's all right, though I have never had it.

Regarding the sharing part of this video, I, too, came out of the pagan church traditions and now only keeping the commandments/instructions that the Father and Yeshua gave to us, as His Word is eternal. (1Pe 1:25 - But the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. And: Isa 40:8 - The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”) I also know, without question, that Yeshua IS the Word of God (as shown in several of my Alef Tav videos). Even the apostle John witnesses to this fact: Jhn 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Yeshua was the spotless (sinless, following the Word (Gen-Deut)) perfectly and He tells us to follow Him. Rejecting part of God's Word is rejecting Yeshua. You are following someone else. Someone that Yeshua nor the Lamb's apostles endorsed. Not one of them call him an an apostle and Yeshua in Revelation never once endorses him, even though Revelation was written 20-30 years after Saul was dead. You, my friends, have ended up on the wide path. In Hebrew, Yeshua's name means "salvation" and the narrow path leads to salvation, whereas the wide path leads to destruction. It is no coincidence that Saul's name means "Sheol" (Strong's H7585/H7586) in Hebrew. The Word of YHVH is eternal! Yeshua also being eternal! Please consider prayerfully reading Ezekiel, chapters 40-48, as he gets a glimpse of the thousand year reign of Yeshua and shares it with us. I observe them all to the best of my ability as I learn and am taught by God's Holy Spirit. 2) Sir, you call dietary instructions of Leviticus 11 "doctrines of devils", as per 1 Timothy 4:1-5. Please clarify: are you saying Leviticus 11 is a doctrine of devils? ...or is it the belief that continuing to practice Lev. 11 after Jesus' death, burial, resurrection and ascension is a doctrine of devils? Again, I would point out Jesus observed Leviticus 11 ... or else he'd have been disqualified from being Messiah because He'd have been disobedient to His Father's Instructions. 3) No, we'll never be perfectvat following Torah. Right, so we don't believe Lev. 11 was a doctrine a devils. What the Bible calls a doctrine of devils here and now in this time and place is "commanding to abstain from meats." So if someone commands we abstain from shrimp or whatnot, that's what the Bible says is now a doctrine of devils. And it goes on to clarify that every creature of God is "good" AND "to be received."
The passage in Colossians you quoted must be read in context. They were pagans that had recently become believers. Paul was telling them to not to let their fellow pagans to cause them to start eating unclean food and keep unholy days. They didn't consider them food. Food in the context you quoted meant clean food. You said Jesus fulfilled the law. That word in Greek: πληρόω Transliteration: pléroó means to fully preach or teach to a full understanding. If it meant do away with then we could commit murder or lie or commit adultery. The same word is used in John 15:11 Your joy is fulfilled or completed. Has our joy been done away with? Certainly not! You are correct that we are saved by what Jesus did on the cross and that our deeds do not save us. However He said if you love my you will keep my commandments. Jesus also said in John 7:16 That I have not come to bring you a new doctrine I have come to teach you what my Father has already told you. Matthew 5:19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. My view on Romans 14 is that how we eat or drink within the confines of God’s instructions is not a Kingdom matter but a personal one. I’m grateful the Lord knows our hearts and will guide us to understanding his word if we ask and follow HIM, because relying on mans interpretations of right from wrong can either leave one going down a wrong path or find so much confusion and contradictions that they give up. Not really, no. We don't subscribe to the popular concept of the church as a weekly "service" we go to and sit through. We'd much rather assemble with true believers as often as possible to break bread and exhort one another. Thanks for the question.
Admittedly, this is off topic, but I don't mind telling you that we cannot find a rapture anywhere in Scripture. The Bible teaches a "resurrection" at the "last trump," and that's very different.

In a nutshell, we don't believe we have to obey every command given to the nation of Israel in the Old Testament. But we find significance and meaning in honoring some of those traditions voluntarily.

We celebrate the biblical feasts because the Lord said they are HIS feasts. We are not Jewish. We don’t celebrate Christmas or Easter. We also eat biblically clean.
Same here, it was a major conviction for us. We live on the Gulf and if it’s not Biblically clean we do not eat it. We don’t decorate for Christmas, we tell the story of The Maccabee’s and we celebrate the birthday of Messiah with a special Shabbat meal. Most western cultures do the egg hunt but we strictly observe Passover when it is Passover and we reserve a seat at the table for Jesus as we wait for Messiah’s return. We are not ethnically Jewish but we are however adopted into the true vine, therefore we feel that’s how The Lord see’s us, as His own so we committed to honor that sacred relationship. As we strive to be Christ like we honor the heritage of being adopted, heirs to the Kingdom of our God.

Yep, under the OT covenant in physical Israel, the disciples kept the feasts and observed the Levitical system. But under the NT covenant, Paul rebuked Peter for upholding that same system.
To which Bible verse are you referring? I went to read the scripture you mention and I hear something different. The last days we seem to be told red meat is bad, eggs are bad milk is bad etc yet when God created them he called those animals food. Marriage in our culture is dishonored, men think they’re women etc. that seems more like a seared conscience than eating thing the Old Testament called food. Also, it sounded like the instruction was to represent Christ well, eat the food out in front of you by others. Don’t make a fuss and demand things representing Christ poorly. God called eating pork an abomination., therefore, it is not sanctified. God defines food for us in Lev. !!, Noah knew the difference between the clean and unclean animals. The animals weren’t just two by two, but more of the clean animals were taken into the ark - that way there would be food Noah’s family. Regarding the destroying of ovens: the bible doesn’t say that if a fly lands on the oven/stove is should be destroyed. It says if something that swarms on the ground (mice, rats,lizards) falls on a EARTHEN VESSEL it should be destroyed. That makes sense to me because they carry disease and earthen vessels are porous. Please reread Romans 7. God’s law is spiritual. Of course, we depend on Jesus (our high priest in heaven according to Hebrews. As Christians, we are to follow Him, walk as He walked. Jesus followed/taught God’s law/Torah/instructions for life ONLY. He did teach against the added laws that the Jews added. He taught God’s instructions to bring blessings or curses and life or death. Matthew 15:24 says Jesus came only for the lost house of Israel. The good news is that anyone who believes, repents and follows Jesus is grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel, the Kingdom of God. II want to express that my comments are not in judgement or either evil intent. I ate pork and other unclean things until 2013. Even after that, I tried (failed) to follow a KETO diet for weight loss. During unleavened bread, which is started with the passover remembrance, I was disturbed since God instruct so us to eat unleavened bread. If bread is “bad” why would God instructions us to eat if every day for a week? Bread is not bad for us - what has bean done to it is bad and God’s Way are what is best for all of His creation.

There were 7 PAIRS OF CLEAN ANIMALS....AND 2 unclean animals.....that went INTO THE ARK. This was LONG BEFORE Sinai and Moses. The death, burial, and Resurrection of Christ offers freedom from all customary observances of the Old Testament related to Holy days. "All things in Christ have become new". As our children were growing up, we had a traditional type of breakfast to explain the Biblical Jewish feast. We never considered it necessary, just a way to teach the Biblical account of passover and feast. Nothing we do or are is Holy. Only Christ alone is Holy. In His righteousness, not our own, "there is none righteous, no not one" but through the sacrifice of Jesus, salvation is offered to all who believe. For Old Testament Jewish beliefs, they do not recognize this provision of the Messiah. True, some have converted to Christianity, by believing that Jesus is the only begotten son of God and through His blood sacrifice, the final, ultimate sacrifice, Salvation is offered to all who believe. Halaluhah , He is the Risen Savior.
Do you know the feasts are going to be observe in the millenial reign and the nations that won't observe tabernacles won't receive rain as punishment? The feasts of the Lord were forever stablished.

Those who are living through the times the scripture describes according to that period, will know, through the Holy Spirit, what God requires of them. Our purpose is to share the Gosple of Jesus. He is our Salvation, from then to the end, it is our greatest mission as Christians.
@@gracehillgranny5445 The Appointed Times that God put in place are a privilege and not a burden. They are times when Heaven and Earth are honoring/celebrating God. Jesus did not “free” us from God’s Appointed Times, but pointed us to them. Having celebrated His Holy Days for the past few years, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to “freedom” from them. I do believe that God’s Appointed times will be shown relevant in the last days. We are told to keep watch so that we are not unaware. What is the Good News that Jesus told the disciples to preach? Death burial, resurrection? I don’t think so since they were taken unaware when He was crucified and then resurrected. The good news is that the Kingdom of God. If we believe in Jesus (including His teachings and His Ways) and repent, then the Kingdom of God is within reach. Following Jesus means we should walk out our life by the same standards that He did. That is believing in Him.
