South Asia in general, and India specifically, is a beautiful amalgamation of multiple languages and cultures. I came up with an Indian remake of Scooby-Doo recently as a fun little idea: Scooby is a Pariah dog, and each of the Mystery Inc. gang members are representative of the various religious and cultural minorities of India. However, the premise is basically just classic Scooby-Doo- 4 teenagers/college students and their dog go around solving mysteries in their neighbourhood. You got representation as well as nostalgia and verisimilitude all in one right there.

As a nerd myself who was bullied in highschool, I find it very offensive that you would actually categorize such things to solely be on nerds all the time. Pisses me off that you would see me that way.

I used to be bullied,a quick mma sesh changed all that,and i won the respect of those who misjudged me

I feel this show shouldn’t even be in relation of the scooby doo fandom cuz this is just not scooby doo I had no problem with the change of character and whatnot but they took the dog and made everything about stereotypes it’s terrible

Id argue that the character design might have worked in her favor. Im sure that some people watched it because they were expecting it to be bad because of the designs, it worked for the sonic movie and it worked for velma(at least for me). I WISH it was bad because of the designs.

@@emperorwisel4842 Eh I think that's subjective - the designs were DRASTICALLY different, but mostly recognizable, even if Shaggy got a complete rehaul (I mean he was called Shaggy coz of his hair gdi, coulda worked with that somehow but whatev). TBH I think people should stop trying to REMAKE the OG Scooby Doo, but go with just... Next gen Mystery gang? Like I dunno, a bunch of nerds who heard of mystery gangs shenanigans, begged to intern with them, the first few episodes establishing that they have been learning and then moving on? Like if you wanna change the entire cast, just make an original series at this point.
