I bought a raptor 700R about 6 months ago. Your videos bring back nostalgia of the old days and the dunes with banshee’s and 400EX’s shredding the dunes thanks for bringing back a passion that I really let go for ten years or so. I’m so happy to see people so enthused about sport quads again! The level of nostalgia makes me so happy!! I wish I had never sold my banshee. But I’m glad to be back in the game!!
That looks like so much fun, great video! My dream is to ride the dunes on a quad or dirt bike someday. I live in Canada and there is a ton of snow right now so I guess I will keep dreaming lol
How close to Michigan are you? In Muskegon or north of that is the SilverLake Sand Dunes right on Lake Michigan, check out videos, I think Pete has some from 2 years ago
Happy to see you exploring our local dunes and that James was able to coordinate the trip when we held our banshee meet up! Thanks for the shoutout and hope to ride with you one day!🤘#savesportquads
Another great video man. Ever since I got back into riding again It's been on my bucket list to get to glamis. Looks like you had a great time that's awesome.
It lives up to the hype for sure! I actually really enjoyed being there when it was more low key. It’s fun to see events but more dangerous with all the people. Now I want I’ll be praying for a wind storm every time I go 😅🤘
Unlike your first visit to Mother G THAT'S how you dune it right, transitioning from bowl to bowl. When you do it 4th gear pinned the whole time riding inline with 600hp buggies then you've reached Glamis Ecstasy 👌🍺🤙
Man I wish and hope one day I can ride in those type of sand dunes, awesome video. The only real sand dunes within reach of Alberta Canada where I’m at, is the Athabasca sand dunes , up along the Saskatchewan boarder
Never leave a man behind, I have turned back many times on trails to make sure the person behind is ok before you get to far ahead, look back if someone is behind you 👍💯
Great video Pete, if you like glamis you would love our sand dunes here in Oregon, we’ve got Winchester Bay, coos bay, Florence, some of the most beautiful sand dunes ever IMO because you can ride right next to the Pacific Ocean.I believe we are on the top 5 for sand dunes in the USA right behind glamis. Dune fest Winchester Bay is a great event to attend. If you ever get a chance.. it’s a week long event with tons of camping on the dunes, & Vendors row and just a ton of fun things to do at dune fest…
If you ever get the chance to go to Dumont Dunes further north heading towards vegas place is great as well. Much smaller but some of the dunes are pretty massive
I only ride Hatfield McCoy trails, at my farm, or around my property and I am looking to get a new Yamaha unit. I absolutely love the look and endless amounts of aftermarket parts of a YFZ450R, but love the torque and reverse of a Raptor 700R. So, I am wondering if anyone has ever put a Raptor 700R engine in a YFZ450R frame? Is it possible? How difficult would it be? What parts are needed? How much will it cost?
I agree with the previous comments about that motor probably being too tall for the YFZR chassis. I think the best swap for the YFZR would be to swap a new YZ450F motor into one. They make a lot more power from the factory, I’ve seen a few cool conversions done but I’m sure it’s not cheap. Unfortunately you still wouldn’t have reverse but that’s not always a necessity, more of a luxury 😅👍
I’d love to take my raptor 700r and trx450r to the dunes, I also love Hatfield and McCoy trails to been to rock house and devil anse and Buffalo mountain it’s close to me cause I live in Virginia. But keep it up Pete, love the vid man I been following you since you started!
Dude great video as usual but this made my night. That rzr getting towed was a buddy of mine 😂 I messaged him I said hey man did you break down and get towed at Old Hill a few weeks ago and he said yeah I said well take a look at this. Lmao. ... Your famous now 😂
@@PeteHager yeah dude that guy practically lives at glamis, lol something in the rear suspension broke for what I'm told I just thought it was so funny seeing that come across your video I almost died laughing..
Pete, bro one of these dayz you need to hit St. Anthony's sand dunes! I wanna know what you think of them... if you haven't been there already and I missed that episode... Z
That quad is normally ridden on harder surfaces so I’m pretty sure they just put the rear paddles on for the weekend. You can get away with front nobbies in the sand easier then the rears. Paddles aren’t necessary but I do feel like the machine runs better and doesn’t have to work as hard with them 👍
Maybe wayyy down the road but I need to keep myself in one piece for now.. there’s a steep learning curve if do’s and don’ts on one of those things 😅 I do mountain bike regularly so the idea of having a motor under me on some single track does sound super fun 👌🤘
Whats going on my Pete! Been following you on your toys for a while brother. Its been a year I bought a raptor 700r brand new its a 2021. Barely starting getting into riding big time just broke it in not that long ago did first service my self on my baby. I got a question kind of need an ASAP opinion from you. Which big 3 power up combo do you recommend????
Hey Gilberto! Thanks for following and watching my videos! Congrats on getting the new Raptor 700! I’m running the FCI intake, power commander 5, and the Rossier R4 full exhaust. I plan to upgrade to the Rossier R5 this spring. Most of the community runs FCI intakes and PC5’s. I always tell people to pick their favorite exhaust and go for it. A lot of the top brands all perform pretty similarly, the shorty pipes are the loudest and for 2015+ raptors they recommend going for a single vs a dual since they have the single port heads on them. So far from what I’ve heard I’d say monster exhausts are the loudest but I really like the sound of my Rossier. Hope this helps and good luck with the set up! 😊
@@PeteHager thank you Sir. I’m going to look into your set up. I was looking into the same fci intake and power commander but with the dual Empire 12”. Thank you ill check both of them out.
