I get knotless braids at least twice a year. I notice my hair is not as strong after removing them. I'm thinking this is the perfect time to use both protein and bond treatments. Thank you!
Thanks for explaining the difference and giving us all the knowledge regarding our hair. I’m am a mature woman that wears her hair natural 4C kinky hair. I only straighten it when I go to the salon to get it colored every 2 to 3 months. Graying hair in combination with my kinky hair is very challenging. I’ve been using a bond repair the last couple of months and there is significant difference in the amount of shedding that I’ve been getting. I will eventually use a protein treatment and see how that will work
I did just subscribed and hit the Like! I started back on my hair care journey 7 months ago. My hair is growing very fast and healthier than it has ever been. 7 months ago was the first time I gave myself a DIY Organic Protein Treatment. I do this now a week before I touch up my new growth with relaxer, and I only touch up my new growth every 16 weeks. I just learned about Bond repair treatments this week in another video. My thoughts are what I am going to try is doing my protein treatment a week before my relaxer, and a Bond repair a week or so after my relaxer. That seems to make sense for me. Hey quick question. I feel very comfortable with my homemade DIY Organic Protein Treatment. I know it is only adding natural protein to my hair and no chemicals. And my hair is very healthy right now. If my hair is very healthy and not breaking, should I even add a Bond repair treatment to my hair if it is only adding chemicals to my hair? I am not all nature, I only Texlax with relaxer to make my hair more manageable. I under process my hair. I don't want to be adding chemicals to my hair if my hair does not need added chemicals.
