Thanks so much for your support! I intend on producing weekly videos and have a production schedule, so you will see another one coming in a few days :)
I found your channel a few weeks ago, and I have to say as someone who is returning to the game after not playing for a few years your channel has been by far the most helpful channel I have found when it comes to progression and just general gameplay improvements. Really hope you keep making awesome videos!
Menu entry swapper is great even for regular training. For example with construction you can hide the examine furniture and even prevent walking to reduce misclicks. The plug-in does prevent you from one click training black jacking and/or building furniture but still very useful.
Thank you!! I've been playing rs on and off for 20years now with my last off period being about maybe 5 or 6 years long, so rune lite and alot of the bosses and raids have me absolutely lost. I was looking for a video like this to explain some of the newer things to me. That'd actually would be a really good video idea and title for a video or series of videos stating "haven't played rs in a few years and now that you've come back you're completely lost? Well watch this/these videos to get caught up to todays players." (The title could use some work i know) but from raids to pvm to pvp like deadmaning and such, you could literally make some many videos lile this just explaining things to players like me that have come back to the game but are completely lost with runelite and other simple explanations you everyday players would think videos wouldn't be necessary to make.
I think there might be some information you could get out of my second video, and I was considering doing an even longer more in depth version. But I could also look at making some beginner friendly guide content etc. as well
In the same boat with plug-ins, downloaded runelite, got overwhelmed, and went back to official client. And with pvm like zulrah, I have 4k kill count but it has been so long. I went and tried to get used the fight again and lost so many times in a row. Every video and guide is just "yeah zulrah is easy, just remember to do these 2000 things and boom, sub 2 minute kills every time". But I forgot rings of recoils break and no video even mentioned that. Now I know but still, weird how much isn't mentioned like they said.
This is your first video and it absolutely popped off. Don't be afraid that your next video has to match this one in views. Just have fun making what you love, and don't pressure yourself to be perfect!
I just found your account the other day been watching all your videos very helpful I’m a veteran player but there’s a lot of good tips that I haven’t thought of yet thanks for your videos you got a new sub!
There’s a plug-in that puts a visual number metronome above your head and counts down till your next attack is ready no matter what weapon your using. That way you always know when you can attack again while doing mechanics which I found really helpful for pvm. It’s on runelite as well Edit: it’s called attack timer metronome
Is it Player Outline or Player Highlighter for number 8? I think you forgot to put the name text in the video at 7:26. Either having the name of all the plugins in the video info or as a pinned comment would help a lot. Either way, I'm a very new player and I found this interesting. While I wouldn't have plugins such as Visual Metronome on all the time as that would be distracting for me, but I'd definitely turn it on when learning to prayer flick while on Slayer tasks etc. I really like that you're explaining and showing exactly why you're using what each plugin does and that you're picking plugins that share a common thread amongst them. Many plugin videos I've seen are all over the place. Very nice job for a first video!
Good catch😂 I guess I forgot that one in the edit. Thanks so much for your thoughtful and well worded review I really hope to do more to explain and offer content that will help people like this. It means a lot to know that It was informative to you!
@@ElysianOSRS as a former content creator, I think you have made a wise choice. It seems to me more and more people are discovering OSRS and they're gonna need well thought out guides to various basic concepts in the game such as this video, updated for the modern era. Many channels assume their viewers have been playing for years and years and I wonder if the scales are tipping. I think you'll also be well positioned to harness an influx of new or returning players once Sailing is released. If the algorithm chooses to bless you, of course. :P And remember, audio is key, audio is king.
Hey man! just wanted to say great first video! I really appreciated the content! I knew most of this already but I love the way you explained at the beginning there is a common principle that you are following throughout all these tips. If you plan on continuing these I highly suggest investing in a quality mic though as that would up your overall video content a ton! You earned a subscription though man!
Thanks so much for the feedback and subscribing, it helps a lot. I will endevour to find a quality mic ASAP that I can use to get better sound quality for you guys.
cheers great content, glad you already got a better mic. osrs is deff a hard niche to go full time on let alone yt overall but i hope you make it. good luck
Fair point when I posted RU-vid said it would automatically generate chapters but I'm not sure if that only works for the bigger creators I will be sure to in future!
Woah stay consistent mate this content is great. Didn’t realise your sub count was 500 till the very end as I thought you were a big time RU-vidr just judging by the quality of the content 😂 GL on your RU-vid journey
Would love to see another video like this but with skilling and genaral gamplay plugins not just pvm. Banger video keep this up and youre gonna blow up!🔥
Great vid! Easy sub and like bro! Wishing you best of luck with more views. I will say its was a bit hard to hear you but im sure thats something that will get fixed in time.
Good question! there is another plugin called Visual Sounds, which can identify sound ID's when they happen, so when you hear one you don't like, just add it to annoyance mute. Annoyance mute has a lot of other good ones built in such as loud sounds like Plank make or other peoples pets or teleport spells. The sounds could be used well as things like Vorkath to mute their normal attack sounds so that their special attacks is more distinctive. Or the many different specials at Olm. Thanks!
Really enjoyed the video! What plugin are you using to detail your HP/Prayer next to your character? I've tried looking in the plugin hub and nothing is imediately clear :(
@@RGRS290 oh shoot that's right I'm misremembering! I think its like visual something but I can't fully remember now haha, I'll check when I get on soon!
@@RGRS290 so I'm still unable to find the specific plugin, but i did notice that its not showing the hp/prayer. i think its showing spec and run energy? thats going off of 5:32 though
@@wackyflappybob It's a little late but i got it. It's extra options from the default Party plugin! Can turn on the extra settings for various stats and then just join a party on your own :)
Do more of this. There is like NO emporium of plugins worth using. It's just like you randomly find out one day doing a piece of content. And there are so many plugins that make or break a piece of content, it would be nice to know what's out there
My next video isn't plugin specific, but I hope similarly it will be very helpful and informative to help people get to their next level :) I will have another at least 2 plugin videos in the works in the future
Plenty of vids showcasing useful plugins (zulus 20 most useful plugins for example). Even videos showing how to use them (aatykons bank tag layout for example).
Yep, so in the video you're using 3 different plugins - Thrall helper - Entity Hider - NPC highlight These plugins combine give the effect of what I call "thrall tech"
My next video isn't a plugin based video but hopefully will help a lot too I will make sure to get a new plugin video our soon! I have many more to show
In a similar vein to Annoyance Mute, is there a plugin for muting only certain music tracks? I cannot stand the tithe farm music track but I like to keep music on for the rest of Gielenor!
If you have the NPC highlight plugin enabled and shift right click on the orbs you can tag them, I used to have this setting enabled but honestly found it more difficult to see as it covers up the little arrow shape on their model if you do so.
the player outline thing is the biggest bait for pvm. You even said in your video "where your physical character is, is not where your character is actually at in the game" so just use true tile to see where your character is... I don't see the point of having your player model stick out like a sore thumb when I can look at my true tile. In endgame pvm you don't need either really, but when learning content or trying to be more tick-perfect true tile can help, whereas player outline will only hurt you
also I know you said you were willing to die on this hill, but I again disagree with inventory tags. Invent tags are a crutch for players who haven't learned how to order their inventory properly. You don't know how many pvm (specifically tob) learners I've seen who just click colours, but then end up having their entire style setups randomly thrown about their inventory, or their offhand just stuck at the bottom of their inventory after equipping a 2handed weapon... Learning how weapon switches function and how to set up your inventory so 'combo items' always go where you want them to go is an important skill best learned without tags. Why do I need to tag items when I know exactly where they are and are going to be when I switch gear? In the end, inventory tags add another step before gear switching which is "where is x colour item" instead of instinctively knowing where it is depending on your previous switch
to add onto this, invent tags actively hurt partial switches which you'd do in Nylo/boss for example, where you switch your weapon + amulet and prayers for the first hit, then the rest for the second. I've seen players with invent tags not being able to find their weapon because its just colours to them, not individual equipment. Same goes to stuff like gear flicking or spec weapons
