I'm gonna start using this, that had never occurred to me. I have always felt that no matter how many facts I present about a deal, how fair I make the deal, how much risk/cost/labor I take to make a client happy, that negotiation is my weak point and that no one leaves the table really feeling good about it. I've always had to work harder to make up for that initial negativity through more customer service, more work, a tighter deadline, and a finished product that exceeds expectations or contract. If this works for me it will drastically reduce the stress and workload of running my business as well as help increase sales and customer satisfaction.

I guess he is basically saying that if you negotiate you should be honest even at the beginning perhaps even saying negative aspect about yourself - like being new, few experience and being an intruder and address the negative (perhaps the situation or issue) upfront then make it positive by providing a solution to their problem - like making a profit for them if they hire you for the project.
