So nice to see and hear you in this collaberation dear Margarete!❤ Love your art so much! You have your own unique style! Greetings from Claudia in Germany
In iconic Margarete Miller fashion, you have elevated this simple white envelope into something gorgeous to add to your journal. I love how you keep it simple, yet elegant and vintage.
This was super helpful for me and I loved watching your process and hearing the reason why you do and dont use a particular piece. Very refreshing. Look forward to watching more from you. New subscriber here x
Hi Margarete...I like the pace of your demonstration. I have another idea. Show what dark colors do to the background of the flower display. Maybe show red and green papers behind the image. Maybe show what dark colors do to the overall collage in the beginning. Thank you for all you do for art.
Very pretty! Love neutrals! My craft room is painted neutral, because I've got sooooo much other colors going on in here, from my craft supplies to my collections. TFS * L
Margarete, I always love your videos. This is beautiful. Do you feature your junk journal in any other videos? It looks amazing. You have incredible taste & curating skills. Also do you happen to have a link to the stencil that you used? I love it.
Thanks Margarete for reminding me to actually use those precious papers I have acquired! I'll never look at them in a file, but I will in my gluebook. I love how you used the envelope as an "interactive" piece to your book. I just love this whole piece! Thank you for sharing!
I really loved the envelop. I think collaging with fewer papers look so much better. Can't wait to try one. Absolutely love the flower stencil, could you plz share if that's still available? Thank you so much for doing this video.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this!! I really wish I could remember where I found that stencil. I will look online and if I find it, I'll update the description with the info. 😉💜👍🏻
Wow! The white gesso thru the stencil on neutral paper is a genius idea. The envelope is gorgeous. I will have to give this a try. Your neutral papers look thin like book pages. Where would I look for something like them? Thanks for another fabulous video.
Thank you, Nachell! I got those blank neutral pages from a discount retailer called Daiso. The paper is Japanese construction paper. I love that they are in those soft tones. It's comes in handy to have those shades of light colors that are slightly different. 💜
Thank you so much for this video. I love certain colors of neutrals and others I don’t like. Could you tell me what the neutrals that you have in the beginning of the video? Or could I buy them anywhere. I love “pinky browns” and have a hard time finding them in US craft stores. Many neutrals hear have a lot of orange tones and mustard yellow. I struggle with those. And I have since I was little. I’m 74 now and little quirk does not seem to be going away. I don’t even know the name of things I should be looking for. I have seen papers in Korean arts and stickers that I love. Not sure where to find them. I’m hoping the neutrals that you have there are in a paper pack that I can just order. Hugs, treen 💕💕💕
Hi Treen, The neutral papers I showed at the beginning of the video were from a pad that I bought at Daiso, which is a Japanese discount store. We have some in California, but I'm not sure where else in the US. The pad was made in Japan. I hope you do find some at an art store near you❣️
You've got a choice. You could put it into a pocket, leave it loose, or even use washi tape along one side to create a hinge so that you can see the back. Hope that gives you some ideas 💙
