I've got a new-ish Rolodex card holder and I want to start making more tiny collage art. Rolodex card art has got to be one of the most rewarding kinds of collage for me, because as the collection grows, I get more joy out of it.
In this tutorial I show you how I create 6 cards, which I then put into pairs and glue together to create 3 cards total.

I have been exploring Rolodex art, luckily a local reuse store has supplied me with a Rolodex stand and a covered card holder for just two dollars each! My apartment building has a giveaway bench and someone left a small cardholder for me to find! Now I have a lot of cards to fill, I really appreciate this video, it has inspired me to get back to work on these!

Just beautiful ❤ I started a rolodex a couple of years ago. I just wish I thought if placing the images si they all can be viewed in the same direction. Brilliant idea! Several years ago I took a trip to Italy. I scrapbooked the experience in an altered book. I kept all the scraps from the architecture photos. I saw an older video of yours. You used an old passport to create a book. I'm going to use my old passport to make a "Pieces of Italy" book! Thanks so much for your wonderful inspiration!

I just recently found 3 Rolodex, each one a different style. One is tiny at 1 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches per card.

I love this video. Thanks for the idea to do a bunch of backgrounds all at once. The punch you used is for Heidi Swapp’s Memorydex system that is SIMILAR to the Rolodex. That’s why Heidi’s punch does not have the same characteristics as the Rolodex card. If anyone finds a punch specifically for Rolodex cards, please let us know. I have looked. Thanks for showing us Cathe Holden’s new stuff. The metal pieces look great on your cards.

@@MargareteMiller Based on how it worked for you, I’m going to get a Heidi punch. It looks fine with that small space at the bottom (or side). Shooting for perfection, I looked everywhere for a more exact “Rolodex” punch. I finally figured Rolodex has the shape firmly patented so it can sell cards for the Rolodex. I actually stopped after one card because I couldn’t get that perfect hole shape. Silly, silly me. 😟

Thank you for the idea! I have one of these Rolodex's sitting empty!! I've been working on organizing, all of my bits and pieces! I got one of those plastic suitcase style holder from Hobby Lobby that has the plastic boxes. That's keeping me busy after work.

I just LOVE RD art. I have the round style (desk space saver, was the thought) that you show here in the beginning and am quite looking forward to getting started on it. I love that you're doing the backgrounds on several at one time. That's such a time saver and a fabulous way to tie everything together. Challenges are GREAT for our creativity.
