The wealth of information is sooo beneficial. Clean living has more than one benefit. Our poor choices in life which yield stress and chaos affects our physical bodies also. Plus living today in constant information overload is killing us too. Bells and whistles on everything. Trauma of recent pandemic which caused fear. It ALL adds up.

I'm interested in the impact of menopause on mental health. It seems that much of this would apply to perimenopausal and menopausal women. Would that be correct?

Its aweful barely enough info for it even my dr said theres nothing she can say other than try going gluten free and watch my iodine. I've read that it has something to do with the pituitary gland and ever it has something to do with the liver for root causes I feel like this happened to me after the vaccine I did have nodules in my thyroid before the vaccine hyperthyroid and I'm on methimazole for the last 2 months or 3 months and I have not gone gluten free I barely eat as it is but I am gaining weight so I just got an ultrasound of my thyroid and the text said her mother had hyperthyroid with hypothyroid symptoms so the mother gained weight and I said oh my God what are the chances this is awful how am I ever going to get my life back right now I don't know but I'm still trying trying and I need to pay out of pocket to see my endocrinologist and my GP suggested I let her know that my TSH wasn't really changing and maybe I need to increase my medication and my endocrinologist is making me go in for a visit and it's going to cost at least $ 250 to see her she's not on my insurance I've read the root cause could be anywhere from pituitary gland issue to adrenals to liver everything I read is about hypothyroid and Hashimoto's but not much for hyper

Hello, what doctor would I go see to help with this issue? To regulate the HPA Axis? I am constantly nervous, bad anixiety from years of high stress and have high cortisol and psuedo cushings because of it.
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes 11 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching the video. An endocrinologist is the type of doctor who specializes in the endocrine system, which includes the regulation of the HPA axis. They can help diagnose and manage conditions related to hormone imbalances and the HPA axis, such as adrenal disorders or hormonal issues.

@@DocSnipes thank you, I have seen one but he believes it is psuedo-cushings from years of chronic stress from gambling. Maybe it damaged something in my brain? Damaged amygdala, hypothalamus? I don't know. I haven't gambled in years but still feel INSANE levels of anxiety every moment of the day. Would this be a neurologist? thank you!!!

Do different types of trauma affect brain chemistry 🤔 ? For example is it different between a person who survived an animal attack to someone who has had a serious industrial accident involving machinery 🤔?
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes 10 месяцев назад
Trauma, regardless of its source, can indeed affect brain chemistry. The brain's response to trauma involves a complex interplay of neurochemical reactions, including the activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which is our stress response system. This can lead to dysregulation of the HPA axis, causing a persistent state of stress or fear. The type of trauma, such as surviving an animal attack or an industrial accident, may not necessarily change the fundamental neurochemical reactions to stress. However, the individual's perception of the event, their emotional response, and the context in which the trauma occurred can influence how their brain and body respond. For instance, both an animal attack and an industrial accident can trigger a strong fear response, activating the HPA axis and leading to the release of stress hormones like cortisol. Over time, chronic activation of this stress response can lead to changes in brain structures involved in emotion processing and regulation, such as the hippocampus. However, the specific circumstances of the trauma, including the individual's perception of their control over the situation, their previous experiences, and their available coping resources, can influence the severity and duration of these neurochemical changes. In conclusion, while the type of trauma may not directly influence the fundamental neurochemical reactions, the individual's perception and emotional response to the trauma can have a significant impact on the brain's response and potential changes. Therefore, it's crucial to consider the individual's unique experiences and responses when understanding the impact of trauma on brain chemistry.
