What about adding a 12", subwoofer box? Is there any safe was to piggy back it? I have an amp as well, id like to run it thru but nobody will touch the car. I have premium sound but after 4 years of owning the car, it seems that the volume has gotten lower. Or maybe im already used to it and need more power!
You would want to remove the stock box if you are adding. For Prefab Id suggest a 10" Skar audio box or Breakers Audio (Sub truck / Where spare tire would be in normal car). I did an unloaded Skar box... not sure if they sell them anymore and a AudioControl LC2iPro with a Fosgate 500/1 and DS18 10". Im upgrading to audiocontrol 800.1 and a JL 10" W3 with a ported box under the trunk soon. There are some pig tails you can use but just take tap the signal and run your own power... Its easier than my wire tap since you can grab it straight from the sub.
@crilton any chance you're close to NY 😅 I'd just pay ya to do it. I have minimal car audio/electric knowledge. Your explanation seems simple enough. Remove the og sub box if I'm installing the 12 right. I already have a Amp but idk if it's safe to use with tesla. I don't trust myself to not do some damage lol
Without the ability to adjust the DSP, I fail to see how this is an improvement. Any speaker swap would by necessity require an adjustment to crossover point to have any chance to improve things. All these speaker swaps do not address this point.
This is a affordable, non-destructive kit for DIY owners. Additional DSP can certainly bring the audio system to another level but that is more advanced.
