Good video to fallow. Very well done. I fallow everything in the video and completed the job. It really make a huge difference with four more speakers playing the audio. A huge shout out to the person who create this video.

Just finished my installation, I am not a professional, but since I live in LA, I did everything on my passenger side. I believe it’s a little bit easier. It took me around 90 minutes. I needed to re-run the cable since it was about an inch short after first try. The hardest part was the middle blue connector, I did remove the connector above it before removing the blue connectors. Like Raymond said, fingers are the main tool for this upgrade. I have not tried it, but all I can say is it works fine. Good job for making this cable. Thank you.

So you are installing 2 extra speakers on the front speakers? One speaker is 4 Ohms so you are getting three 4 Ohm speakers parallel what's about 1.4 Ohms in total... Not sure if the Tesla Amp can handle it. Also the tweeter will get the full unfiltered (bass & mid) signal?

Sold my 2020 Tesla model 3 standard range with the stereo upgrade harness, I bought the Kia EV6 and traded that in for model 3 2021 now I have to buy the harness again to get more speakers working. 😂

@teslaOffer the cable under the b pillar that connects to the blue plug needs to be shorter, It prevents the trim from fitting properly and it is bent extremely hard in order to fit. Am I doing something wrong?

I am sorry if I am repeating the same question- trying to watch install videos and comments and I seem to be getting conflicting advice: I have a 2019 SR+ LHD(with the inactivated rear speakers). Is all the work I need to do only on the passenger side? I thought I saw a video in November from Raymond, that showed the initial connection under the glovebox (computer connection) and then a pass through in front of the center console to the drivers side and then connections running down the side from the A pillar, B pillar and to the rear. Even the video above shows Raymond working on the drivers side (though RHD) My harness which I ordered on Black Friday and received in Dec 2020 seems to be appropriate for just one side of the car. So the connections Raymond is showing on the drivers side, is also on the passenger side, so that we can run everything on that side?

Do you have to put in the blue connector along the door panel, if you only want the 4 door pillars working.

Any issues at high volumes?

I ordered the DIY wire harness, and I have model 3 SR+ 2020 model, I have no speakers at the rear of the car, so I just plug into to speakers and tweeters up front and no need to run along the edge of the car, as I no speakers on the back shelf.

This tuto is for the full kit, do you have any tuto for the "without rear speaker" cable ?

This 'upgrade' caused my Model 3 to have a variety of software issues. Cruise would fail, AP would have issues. The windows would trigger in the up position. After I removed it no problems. The connector that goes into the Tesla computer wouldn't seat fully. I did hear the additional speakers, but it was barely noticeable when it did work. Junk. Thanks for the video, it reminded me how to remove this.

If I get the subwoofer output version, do I use the Tesla sub / amp combination or do I have to get 3rd party?

Does it also work for EU Cars?? Because there were some issued before with the free speaking and the "SOS" Knob not working anymore.

I am very confused. I have a rhd 2019 model 3 sr+. You say all connections should be done on the passenger side yet on the video you connect a single cable on the passenger side and then connect the main cable on the drivers side on a RHD car. What is the purpose of the small cable connected to the computer? Is the signal cable connection always on the drivers side in a RHD?

​Is the 2021 version plug and play now ? I don't want to tap any wires... Also, does the "2021 without rear speakers" version have the rear shelf connector ? I swapped my 2021 rear shelf with one that have the original speakers and harness.

Didn’t get the rear speakers, any chance provide separate links to buy the speakers ? Or let us know the specs of the speakers ?

I have a 2019 RHD car with back speakers. I bought a wiring harness off aliexpress however the cable from the computer (left side) to the right side is too short. Must be only for LHD cars. I'll try solder additional length so I can run the length from left side computer to right passenger side. My question is, does the connector for the computer add the left side tweeter/surround speakers, or is this all done from right side/passenger?

Just got this wire harness for my 2023 Model 3 without a rear speaker. Would this harness work for my car? What do you do with the rear wire?

Hi Raymond I have a 2021 LHD M3. I have trouble finding the right hand side tweeter plug location in the passenger compartment. Do you have any wiring diagrams, maybe share with me? I followed your RU-vid instructions but can't find it. Many thanks

I installed the set with rear speakers on my RHD 2020.6 SR+, somehow the passenger side A pillar speaker still has no sound, other speakers are all good, what could be the issue and anywhere I should check again?

Where did you get the harness

Is anyone getting an error message saying “electrical system unable to support all features” and “schedule service to replace 12v battery” ? I installed this and immediately got the issue

If I only want to activate the front tweaters (no rear shef speakers) do I only need to connect the harness at the front of the car? So no middle or rear car connects necessary? Thanks
