I mean Before the Pianist even began, he was orphaned and raised by his “grandma” He survived for a decade or more as a lone fixer even before the Smoke Wars, where he gained a core traumatic memory that could never truly be erased He was merely aimless until he met Angelica, and even then he was hesitant to open his heart towards her, afraid of losing her if he gained any attachment When a close call happened, he almost broke down then and there before he could even hear the words of That is That and This is This The failure to gain Wing citizenship due to a faulty promise by the Wings made him have to go one last time on a Fixer mission, ending up with the Pianist’s arrival and the death of Angelica and their unborn child and the massacre that kickstarts the road to the beginning of the game The Pianist may as well have been a drop in the ocean, a nobody musician that would have been replaced had he been killed, but the light gave him an opportunity Comparatively to Roland, the Pianist is pretty tame in terms of things that had been experienced

It's most likely because, at times, the notes feel like they're 'dangling'. A stray note appears in a place where it shouldn't, albeit still sounding melodic, ofc. It's really good at inducing 'madness' into songs.

Btw, the fame is REALLY lore heavy and its a sequel to another game called Lobotomy Corporation, which is a managent game where you harvest energy from "abnormalaties" (aka monsters aka spc), whit each one having different ways to screw you over

@@notmitsukiyolol And the thing is, The Silent Orchestra is devastating in Lob Corp, but that was after being weakened by qliphoth deterrence. Imagine how powerful it would be at it's full strength, and uncontained by the facility.
