Orion, the Hunter is one of the most recognized constellations in the night sky. It is also one of the closest star-forming regions to Earth, and contains vast molecular clouds of dust and gas.
The Orion nebula contains a stellar nursery with hundreds of embryonic solar systems being born
from the collapse of gas and dust, igniting new stars.
Our own sun and solar system is believed to have formed from a similar nebula billions of years ago.
