Cut creases became the standard for me in 2009 because I have hooded eyes and they look the best on me! A darker color for the “hood” a cut crease on the fake crease I make above my natural one with a lighter more shimmery color under the fake crease like hello my mom taught me that when I was 15 because she has hooded eyes too lmao

A few years ago I worked late night at a convenience store. One night a dude came in that was clearly in Black face, and walked around the store waiting for me to react. I refused to. He wanted attention I wasn't willing to provide so he left. Folks do look for outrage for attention.

Lord have mercy. You have patience I could never hope to have. I had two teens literally stop and sit in the middle of the road to get the dogs to bark at them. I sighed loudly, got the dogs rangled up to go inside and loudly stated I had more adult things to tend to. And if they wanted attention then they should go home to mommy and daddy.

Makeup Forever has a lot of shades too. I think Fenty gets a lot of credit because they started out with a huge range instead of starting with 30 beige and 5 deep shades then expanding later.

I am too I went to Sephora got a sample of Fenty and used it with MILK hydro grip primer and it was fantastic.. without a hydration Ming primer it’s true no go. I know this is months late but it may help someone. Fenty color match is spot on for me

I can't wear fenty foundation cuz I tried it, and it gave me SEVERE cystic acne. And I never get cystic acne. I had to get prescriptions from my dermatologist to get rid of it. I then did some research and found that the main ingredients in it were not for my skin type. Lesson learned. I'm not poo-pooing RiRi or fenty, just saying it's not for every single black girl

I think you have a talent that I don’t see from many people on RU-vid makeup wise, you can make an eye shadow look with any color eyeshadows look good. Like you mix pink yellow and green and somehow it looks amazing. Like if I tried to do that I would like I just got beat up but you slay any color combo 🎨

Gurrrl I had to pause at the Yelp part IT is a big pet peeve of mine when I read reviews and people rate something low because they are just stupid. For example : Timmy saying the food at the Indian restaurant was spicy. Sir! It is supposed to be! People need to understand what is helpful and what is just nonsense.

oh my god i'm DEAD over the liquid liner and cut crease. it's SO true. everyone and their mother pairs a wing with every damn look just cause and most of the time i think it either A) ruins the look or B) just looks out of place and dumb af. same thing with cut creases... the technique is way over saturated online and i loveeeeeee me a nice blown out soft eye look. i live i breathe i DIE for it. anyway ur my queen ily

legit. I do liquid liner just by its self (with other makeup i mean just on the eyes) because its gotten to the point i can throw it on. but if im doing like an actual eyeshadow look i normally dont do liquid liner!!! it takes away from the eye look most the time like you said! also i never liked cut crease it never worked on meeee

My *Unpopular* Opinion: I like dark undereyes. They're just beautiful to me. I think they give definition, smokiness and sultriness to the iris. Everyone's frantically trying to get rid of their darkness but not me, I'm just not that insecure about them even though everyone wants me to be. Honestly I think the sleepy, grunge look is strangely cute? (think Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds or Mila Kunis) The French actually embrace the look. I'm 22 and even though I'm tan colored, I naturally have very dark sunken under eyes on a pale face and I've recently come to skip applying concealer or foundation in that specific area. *protip* It makes full face makeup look waaay more natural. I was born to be a Tim Burton character and I think I like it:)

I am sooOoOOoOoO tired of headass cut creases! I respect everyone's artistry but some people really don't have the eye shape for it to be as impactful as it should be. Same with liquid liner! (I would rather just use a pencil liner and smoke it out than fight with my eye shape to make liquid liner fetch happen)

T C yes certain eye shapes, skin types, face structures, etc. make certain makeup very difficult to do or it’ll look bad if u do it/use it in general. For example, a cat eye liquid eyeliner wing is super hard to do with hooded eyes.

I'm guilty on the Fenty issue. It's just that we felt the Love from Fenty. Nobody else in the make up world had given black girls that much love since Fashion Fair. Don't get me wrong I have worn other brands like Clinique, Bare minerals, Mac and the list goes on but Fenty made us feel like,"This is just for you boo!.... I'm guilty bc no one else goes as hard as Fenty. I still love my Clinique too.

I agree that Fenty Beauty came hard in the beauty industry, but damn !why all of sudden there's this Bash Fenty Month? Rhianna helped to push more inclusivity in makeup that really didn't want to take a chance for the WOC. If she were white , would it even be a conversation piece. I can't go " Uncle Ruckus" on sisters who are trying to make it better for all women. But I don't agree about the high price of FB. But it's the name we're all paying for. It's all business when the day is over.

@@alishiagilmore58 Right! RiRi did it big and Fenty is an excellent product. Also the shade range......I could go on and on. As far as the price it's in the same range as Mac, Clinique and a lot of the others. It's actually mid-range bc they're are some that are more expensive like Dior. And you get more in the bottle with Fenty than other brands. Fenty gives 1.09 oz and you normally get 1 oz. Also might I add that I have literally never had a fondation that matched my undertone perfectly like Fenty. I try to go back to my other fondations but now I am used to me actually looking like me with make up on and I can't go back. I've tried. Worth every penny sis. I will repurchase every time.
