Welcome to a new series where I will create a tutorial using one of the free assets of the month. In this video, I will be creating a 3D main menu system where the camera will smoothly move locations for different menus when the buttons are clicked. You can use any map for this.

Ways to improve/add-on to this:
- Add fade in and fade out when starting game
- Add glowing text/button effects using materials
- Add cutscene opening
- Use a cine-camera to add different camera effects such as changing focal length and adding depth of field to blur the background

Damn this is really cool, thanks for this! It would be great if you could do a tutorial for loading cut scenes? For example, after we click start game from the main menu, we see a cutscene, and then load into level one. That would be super helpful. 👍

Thanks!! Do you mean cutscene as in a separate one or one that continues from the current camera position from the main menu? If it is separate you could probably just load in a separate level that contains the cutscene then load the first level after that. If it is from the current camera position you can just play that sequence when start button is pressed then once the cutscene ends you can load the first level.

When I click on the actors to move the camera to credits and settings nothing happens, I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

It should be easy to translate this to 2D as the functions should be the same but event dispatchers will be needed.

I like this. nice work. Are there similar functions if ever I would be using the gamepad and keyboard to select the meshes instead of just hovering using the mouse? thanks

I cannot bind buttons to bind event to on clicked, it says that what I am connecting is static mesh but it want button, working on version 5.3.2

It is working for me and I am using the same version. Make sure you are getting the right bind to event. And make sure the context checkbox is turned on when you right click (in the top right of the right click menu),

Make part 2 and add features like dlss , fsr and other stuff and also to select antialiasing type etc. And raytracing and lumen on /off and nanite on /off.
