Something I have never understood about this channel is why they don't advertise, I feel like it would kill Keith to be leaving money to be had. Where are the sponsors of the video like most channels, such as athletic greens and hello fresh, feels like they are literally on every channel...

I just feel it’s not authentic to push random products on our viewers, especially things that have nothing to do with sailing or traveling! We’ve done it a time or two before and just don’t feel right about it. We endorse companies and products we love and use regularly on the boat, and aim for organic and subtle promotion, instead of an in-your-face ad that a viewer skips past. But that’s just us 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@cynthiastillman8831 He didn't say it bothered him, just that he didn't understand. Big difference. Look at the costs they have to endure for this, fill your boat up for 1500 bucks. An easy source of revenue would be helpful. But they choose not to, which is fine and I am sure many of the viewers appreciate it.

@@Sweetpatches24 well, she is the force behind their RU-vid channel, most moms do most of the cooking and I see every person on that boat cook at times, Jack is the only adult child and is full hands on deck, the other two are still in school but they are still given chores to do like any other kid……I suppose they should go get an after school job at the mall 🙄 Since Keith and Renee are inept at parenting kids out at sea, what would your parenting advice be ?

As odd as this may seem to you, this might be one of my favorite episodes to date. It's nice seeing all the adventures and water sports, sure, but my favorite episodes are actually seeing what real life on a boat looks like - probably why my favorite episodes were of the Greece/Med to Atlantic crossing videos. I’ve been watching the family for about five years and it’s like watching family you see every so often. Not often enough that you are aware of every event but often enough you don’t always “catch” every change. For instance, I knew that the kids are almost adults, with Jack certainly old enough to fly the nest if he chose to. Yet is was a picture of Kate standing next to her mother and being several inches taller that really drove home how much time has passed. She’s no longer a young girl but a young woman. I have no doubt that in future years these guys are going to treasure their memories of the years spent together on a small boat all over the world.

I live in Ft. Lauderdale and have the same issues in the kitchen. No matter how clean or careful you are, bugs can be an issue. Everything goes in the fridge or freezer even before I open it. It has eliminated the problem, it's just part of living in a tropical climate. I love watching your videos and I admire your strength to live your lives. Sail on...🌴🐬🏝️🤿

I enjoyed this. It was relaxing but not boring at all. The food prep was fun for me as I like food videos. It’s cool that in open water you can just throw your veggie scraps out the window. I also liked the quiet time with Renee and Keith sitting together, and Kate strikes me as a real sweetheart.

I used to live this exact same life as a teenager in the mid 90s during our circumnavigation for eight years, it's so funny to now watch other people doing it. One day some 25 years from now you too will probably watch some family sail around on whatever RU-vid is by then. 😀

I loved this video. Even though my dad didn't have a sailboat, it reminded me of going out fishing with him. One of his boats was a 27' cabin cruiser with a twin screw. We used to go down the Delaware river to the bay. I really miss those days. He has been gone 22 yrs now and I haven't been on the water since. Thanks for taking us along for the ride today.

In this, it’s interesting to see how laid back everyone is- the normal videos where you plan specific moments or capture the more exciting aspects, Finn in particular is much more animated. It’s neat to see him so more pragmatic and just pondering what to document in his own video for instance, or to ask about what the video coming out that week was about. So this is appreciated and a cool look into more of the day to day life as is! Kudos

I was watching your video when I had a revelation...I believe that we're in the best time to be alive in the history of humanity...history that we know about at least:) You were off the coast of Egypt I think, and you were installing new water maker filters. It was then that I realized that what we have available to us and our quality of life is so much better than the time period I previously thought was the best time to be alive, which was the US after WWII till about early to mid 70s. You (the Dad) were there on an incredible boat loaded with awesome gear, but the water maker and the filters allow your family to stay out, to not have to worry about getting sick off local water, or getting tainted water. If something breaks you can have complex components shipped in days right to you. You have radar, we have rescue helicopters, we have Internet, we have air travel, we can have back surgery versus having to live with back pain for the rest of our lives, knees, hips, hearts, teeth, we can get it all replaced and live a wonderful long life. One last thing...killer grocery stores!! We're so lucky to be alive now, and we're all lucky to feel like we're part of your family traveling the world! Thank you🙏

Good format to throw in on occasion or maybe have a little in most vids mixed in with your adventures. We dont have to be up and entertained every minute and it makes for longer vid so we can escape longer! Felt like we were living with you “on the water”👍

Rennee is such a nice lady she reminds me of my mom. I love these type of videos it was very relaxing, now that I’m thinking of it the music and editing can be very stimulating so this was nice for me today. The vacuuming part was therapeutic and satisfying lol. Also I never heard Kate talk (20:28) in a weird voice like the boys always do lol so that was interesting. Also the paddle board saga should have continued, for the hell of it you guys should do some scripted stuff would have been neat to see Kate drop the board on the ocean and dad can pretend to get pissed off lol and stop the boat. Lastly, Renee if you’re ever feeling tired of editing and adding music and trying to film fun stuff don’t worry these videos are just as good.

Your daily boat life still has much better views than my window. And your drive to your next location was much more relaxing looking than my 40 min drive down the highway to sit in the cold for my boys soccer practice. Sitting in my truck watching I can almost feel the waves (very windy here as yet another cold front comes through) and imagine the smell of salt tinged air. Great video/editing work!

Great video. Fun seeing the energy change when Jack and Finn came up top. Watching Finn do pieces for his video, which I watched Sunday, on this video was like a full circle moment. AND, nothing beats home made salsa and guac. If you can tolerate the juice from jarred jalapenos add it to the salsa. I use that juice as well as pickle juice in cooking. Of course I enjoy Sriracha straight from the bottle. Enjoyed this. Be safe.🤗👍🖖✌

From the videos I don't see a lot of evidence of the kids taking the helm when beginning or ending a trip. Is that something they have practiced so they can become their own captains at some point? Is it a desire of theirs at all? I do appreciate the full-ish length episode too. It helps to give a better perspective of what the life is like. I agree with you that just seeing the exciting parts makes it seem much more going on constantly.

If we didn’t get to see all the “monotonous” prep work before shipping out, we’d have the impression that this life was all leisure time. There’s a lot to maintain, check & recheck, and it can be a stressful process. Once you get out into the open water, you start to relax more. Until your camera runs out of battery, and you find it wasn’t tied on!😯😅. Or until you hit a bommy! Moms never stop being moms, and feeding their family is just a big part of what moms love to do!
