Muhammad Al Fatih (1431 -- 1481 AD), the son of Sultan Murad II, sultan who ruled the Ottoman Empire since the year 1451 AD. As a child, Muhammad Al Fatih was spoiled and lazy learning. But Muhammad Al Fatih began seriously studied after his father brought some teachers such as Shaykh Ahmad ibn Ismail al-Kurani, Sheikh Aag Syamsudin, and others. From them, Muhammad Al Fatih studied religion, language, skills, physical geography, astronomy, and history. Muhammad Al Fatih grew into someone who was an expert at war and smart riding, an expert in the field of science and mathematics, and master 6 languages since the age of 21. Muhammad Al-Fatih was intelligent young man who had the willpower to reach his goal, especially for conquering Constantinople as the words of the Prophet Muhammad since he was 12 years old.

Yeah, it's true.. Sadly here in Egypt we are taught in every history class that we are superior to the Turks and that the mighty Ottomans were but mere invaders thirsty for our wealth. But Thankfully many of us read history books and look for ourselves how great this empire and those people really were. In fact to a fair researcher he would find out that we the Arabs including the Egyptians were the ones to sell this empire out to it's enemies and back stabbed them. Sad but true, anyways Turkey is still a mighty Muslim nation that makes all Arabs and Muslims proud of. I just hope the we can be a great unified nation like we once were.

No It was Lawrence who made a deal with the sjarief of the vilayet Mekka & Medina (Ottoman province)(The leader was an Arab, but not from the vilayet of egypt. He's name is Hoessein ibn Ali.). The Britons made a begin in that vilayet because that is the heart of islam and the origin place of the Arabic people. Lawrence told Hoessein ibn Ali that the Arabs will have their own Empire if he provoke the arabs to the Ottomans, also he offered the leader a very big ammount of money and continious support of Britanie. This plan was set up beceause of the deal with the rich jewish families such like Rotschild, that they(jews) will also have their own country in the vilayet of palestine. The provoke first did not have much support of the people. But at the second provoke they were been able to further devine the muslims in nations. Hoessein ibn Ali had he's kingdom till he was overthrown by another Arab family (The Saudish family) this leader was backed by America. Which is very logical because of the British were no longer a Super Power. By the decline of Ottoman, muslims devined in among 16 nations (did not count them). So the muslims were no longer a Super power and like you said in every nation including Turkey in schools they were hatred things learned about each other. This all is set up. At least Erdogan came to power in Turkey and our people's heart were once been opened to every muslim. There is no bad teaching about the arabs no more since Erdogan. But its largely known by the folks that the beginning of the devining and declining was started by an Arab. But I as Turk love every muslim in the world. And do not like the deving with my brothers. The most important thing that Ottoman Empire did was to stop possible christian crusader attacks for over 623 Years and defended the Islam till 20th century. Without Ottoman Empire, maybe Arabs would be Christians or under controll of European countries now. Thats the most important contribute they did for Islam. Sad that he died in young years, I am sure Rom was not a Dream and possible with this great Leader.

i dont know why people say something bad about ottoman where ever they colonised they didnt change language or religion checj romania ,when ottoman colonised them ,romanian king was romanian .. ottoman take taxes and sone countries kids , they grow up same as Turk and muslim and they become commander or general or some important place in empire ... check british empire and french were ever they took fisrt they try to change relegion and language ,sputh africa india north africa etc.

Years between 1400-1700 were a nightmare for Europe. They thought Turks will conquer whole Europe and extend Islam everywhere. You can witness this fear they have in every kind of art made in that time in Europe. Ottomans conquered half of the Europe but Allah didn't allow them to go further into it. Who are we to look down on Ottomans, what did we do for Islam so far that concedes us the right to always criticize people who sacrificed their lives for it.

I love Muhammed Al Fatih Story. Such an great iconic smart and kind leader. I watched his animated story when i was a kid. He is a hero! So proud of all our Ottomans leaders true muslims brought pride back and built great civilization the west were imitating us not like today :( but inshAllah we will rise again to enlighten the universe with our innovations, science, and literature. Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Verily, Constantinople shall be conquered, its commander shall be the best commander ever and his army shall be the best army ever.” How He know muslims will conquer Constantinople in future? rome was the greatest empire exist at that time... If we at that time, maybe we think he just an insane guy which talk something ridiculous... and the history had prove it.. Because he is the last prophet...

+BadulaJohnson That is also because of Ataturk. Even in Turkey there is a lot of propaganda in history books. After Ataturk and his supporters changed the alphabet to a latin one and tried to reform the language, taking out words of arab and persian origin and substituting them with words from french and english, ordinary people could not read the historical sources anymore and lost contact with their culture and history. Many books and archives were destroyed or sent to other countries. During the 'Republican era' school books in Turkey described the Ottoman sultans as greedy, uncultured, lustful. Lied about their lives and achievments, about the Ottoman society in general. Now people in Turkey are starting to regaind awareness and because of the current government there are courses to study the Ottoman (arab) alphabet and dialect and research the books and historical documents. Although there is a lot of resistence from the Kemalist nationalists who are still in great number unfortunately.

Muhammad Al-Fatih, he is my inspiration after Prophet Muhammad SAW, he is one of the best leader after Prophet SAW. I thanks to Ustadh Felix Siauw, ex-"nonMuslim", also ex-atheist. Because of his book, Muhammad Al-Fatih 1543, I can gained my knowledge about Muhammad Al-Fatih. Muslims Indonesian are proud to have Ustadh Felix. He is one of the great author/writer and inspirator in Indonesia. Alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah SWT.

I salute the ottomans. Muhammad al-Fatih, the hero who conquered Islambol. Every sultan wanted to be that man that Rasulullah s.a.w. mentiones. Even the sahabah tried to conquer it, but Allah chose the young lad Muhammad al-Fatih. In his childhood, he was playful and mischievous like any other child but his father has always prepared for him to be the conqueror. Look at who he has become. May Allah reward him.

Dear the guy who was talking in this video. I am an Arab and we never taught that Arab are better than Turks. In fact, we studied about Muhammed Al-Fatih and the Othman Empire in our History book in school. We are not misinformed about the Othman and Turks regarding the nationalism, so I don't know from where do you bring these information?. You are giving false information to the public about the nationalism. However, what you have mentioned about Muhammed Al-Fatih was true and all Arabs are proud of him and the Othmans.

He didn't split the Ummah under languages. Also he was not the reason between Israel and Palestine. With all respect brother, but I really don't know from where do you bring these false information. I suggest that you read and make research instead of listening to the wrong people. For your information, the Wahabbi founder died in the 1700s and Israel attacked Palestine in the 1900s, so how come he is the reason between Israel and Palestine?. Well the least I can say is we are taught good history of the Ottoman Empire here in north Africa(Algeria) and we're proud of our history that we held the mediteranian on our own as part of the Ottoman empire at the time.

Me being Arab, I remember first learning about muhammed al fatih RA when I was 12 or 13. I was so fascinated and proud of the ottomans he led into Constantinople. I really have not heard much hate about the ottomans from Arabs except one time somebody said something of their Muslim lifestyle and how they were wrong but they were corrected alhamdullah. I love the ottomans and all Muslim empires but I noticed today Turks still hate Arabs in some parts and vise Versa. But that can’t happen. As Muslims if we wanna break away from the state we are in and finally rise we must unite all together.

Because while we were fighting to protect the Arab lands, the Arabs formed an alliance with the British and shot the Turks in the back, maybe some things were given to the Turks because of this.

Constantinople was the apex of the Ottoman empire. ' the greatest army' would lose at Malta and in Vienna against enemies several times smaller than them (10 to 1 in Malta) among others. Also, im pretty sure Constantinople wasnt the most decisive. Maybe Badr or Zama

So much hate from Europeans as usual.. They can't even afford to hear the word of 'Ottomans'. It is a clear proof of how powerful was Ottomans. Every single European has a nightmare about Ottomans. May Allah(c.c) Bless all the real Muslim brothers and sisters who fight for Allah(c.c) and Prophet Muhammed(s.a.v). Ottomans were the real representatives of Islam. Without them, today, Europe was not knowing anything about Islam. If Turks represent Islam then Islam becomes very beautiful but If Iranians, Arabs or other muslim nations represent Islam then Islam turns into terrorism. Therefore, Islam can only be powerful with Turks. Turks can raise Islam higher but others can only destroy it.

In Indonesia we never tell about Ottoman Empire. We only teach about History about nationalism and I found about ottoman by myself. Before it, I never know if Islam has great history and only told that western is found anythinks about knowledge.
