@@everonlyallforthee They're not really dangerous. They sometimes get aggressive if you swim past their territory while they're breeding and then they might bite, but that's really really rare. Also their teeth are really small, so it's more akin to being bitten by sandpaper from what I've heard. My dad used to tell me about rumours of the really big ones eating small dogs and children, but I don't really believe that's true.

@@everonlyallforthee There are urban legends about them eating children, and they've definitely bit people before, but it's not sure wether they actually kill people... I wouldn't put it past them though, since catfish do eat meat, prey on anything that fits in their mouths, and have been known to eat the corpses of people that drowned.
