I met many very biased, stuck, self convinced scientists who behaved like English colonisers in Africa, 'I know what you don't know' even if that entails many many questions still to be asked. But personal experiences don't count until proven or researched and confirmed. Fun fact, I had and believed experiences as a child that only years later were proven, like: animals have a social consciousness, you can be aware you dream.

If realty is only based on an individual perspective and experience then how do we know if there one true realty that is real?

That's not what the video is saying. It's saying all realities are subjective, and these can be collectively experienced as true too. A pack of butter is a form of truth that almost everyone agrees on, it's butter. But then even scientists get lost in applications. Is it healthy, unhealthy, unfriendly to animals, a commodity, natural? Different studies claim each of these answers as true. So science sees reality and then still stick, due to the perspective and questions of the researcher, different answers or realities on it.

It has to be separated. Sure something is objective and just is, the objective reality and our outlook on it will differ depending on our knowledge whether it's even true or not, or even how we feel about it. I have my reality and how I feel about it. But I'm also intelligent enough to understand there is a reality and I may be wrong about some things, right about others but most of all I barely know anything in the grandee scheme of things. Which both religion and science agree on. we can't understand everything.
