www.twitch.tv/coliniestv if you have any questions please feel free to come in my chat and ask away! I love this game and discussing it with new and long time players alike! Thanks for the love yall
I needed to hear that about tilting. Thank you. It made me realize that there’s no point in complaining or tilting. I need to just relax and accept that some people are just better than me
Actually sometimes it's not even that they are better than you, sometimes you just don't know how to fight them. A Samus spamming B button at the ledge probably isn't better than you, but you still lose because you don't know how to avoid the projectiles. Also online is bullshit
It’s helped me to think that it’s less about who’s better and more about who’s playing with more fire for lack of a better word . They’re playing better but they’re just turning up , are you turning up if not oh well if you are well turn up harder then they do next time
I've also always been the guy that played tons of hours with friends, and it doesn't feel like I got much better from it. It's also not just playing "for fun", we go pretty hard and always try to win, but I think that's part of what held us back, since we're not even risking trying to learn new things.
The way to deal with tilt as take a 15-minute break. Watch a Smash video. Smoke some weed. Deep breathing. You just need to stop playing for a time to collect your thoughts
Videos are super helpful. It’s a great coincidence that I started following u because I’m a fellow yink main and looked up to ur play style, that now u upload helpful vids like these. no one else really uploads content like this and it’s helpful af. Keep it up
Bro I have to ask how do you deal with bullshit in this game? Like I just fought a pikachu and he kept on spamming neutral air and dash attacks but every time I go to punish I’m the one that gets punished. So I guess my real question is how do you deal with the pikachu match up?
Generically I find just taking a breath when you start to feel salty helps. Just assume you're going to lose and experiment. Take the opportunity and treat them as a particularly-coded AI and just go in the lab, really try anything and everything that might work. You'll start to pick up on how what they're doing is weak or how your reactions are enabling it to be busted against you.
@@Boredom_Incarnate this helps so much man thank you so much. It gives me a new aspect and out look on the game. I never thought about it this way. Thanks for the advice
i know this video is old but hearing you say i really shouldnt be thinking to much and instead playing based on memory and only pay attention to small things made me reliefed. i thought most players played while actively thinking about alot of things. glad to know.
If you keep getting tilted it's because smash is way too important to your ego and you don't have enough of other things in your life that give you a sense of self-respect. Nurture your friendships, find a partner, develop another hobby or two, exercise regularly, get a job etc. Smash is fun but don't let it be your life, it's way not worth it. Even the pros aren't in particularly enviable positions in life.
Also remember being tilted makes you play so much worse. Practice an overtly positive, somewhat detached mindset, and save the replays from those games...
All tilting is from thinking we're better than we really are. Everyone loses. Even MKleo. Look at him when he loses, he shakes his head up and down like he's saying "good shit" no matter what it was. That is, for me, the key. No matter what they did, I say good shit out loud.
No cap I'm a noob, I used to be very good during smash 4 but ultimate smash is a whole different level but I'm returning to my best and hope to improve more the more I play
I know this been years ago but me and my twin brother went to the arcade smash ultimate tournament and I got to face sleepy Jigglypuff vs myself as GX yoshi and the first round was rough but the second round was close games for me but he got me good and won the set of 2 -0 I place last and he won the whole tournament against my twin brother Pikachu and this other dude inkling girl and I have a fun experience
Please keep making vids. Always look forward to your content Edit: also that VOD of you from 4 years ago LOL. Also, looks like there were a few editing errors in the vid but I absolutely loved the vid regardless. Thanks so much ❤️
I can't even get better, I go online and everyone in my area are just too good. Then on Smash offline, I don't seem to improve. I GIVE UP PLAYING PROPERLY
I can do the B reverse and I can do the wall jump but every time I try to combine them together he keeps throwing out the stupid boomerang idk what I'm doing wrong
Thank you , I appreciate the uploaded videos. So much that I subscribed. Question do you give any private sessions for young link? I'm really trying to improve on him. I have a super trash bro tournament coming up. Playing against friends but it's frustrating because you're more better than me. Again thank you for your time & effort. Big props!
the clip of u raging is so funny but also relatable i used to rage at quick play because i couldn’t get elite smash ( i was bad) and i would punch my bed and yell lol
This is a really great video(looking forward to something like this next month if it happens). Maybe you can do a guide on how to fight young link as well haha.
@@JohnyMeBoi Fighting against AI won't help you in the long run, an AI can only know so much. And AI patterns are different from human patterns so it's a downside in the long run
I’m confused ? Colinies isn’t a pro ? He does ok in online tourneys but never did good offline . Based on these facts does that mean I’m a pro ? Lol I make top 8 on every tourney , so I’m going to call myself a pro since we’re going to use the word so loosely.
very interesting thumbnail. minecraft, dragon quest and zelda (you look like young link LMAOOOOOO) also larry podcast, maybe p4g this weekend and maybe aaron on the podcast next week? anyways thanks for the upload YOU LEGEND!!!!
