I love Topeak tools. I have been using RATCHET ROCKET LITE NTX+ for my ride multitool for years now. It includes that torque bit also. I also have their small pump the RACEROCKET that can pump up to 120 pso. I did not get that far but I have pumped road tires to 90-95 psi with it.
@@dakalla didnt know that one. Looks like a legit tool as well. Yes i was also surprised how far off the pressure sometimes is from what the pump gauge was showing.
If/whenever am out riding around, early dusk/zero dark shadows...strap-on ArmyTek Wizard C2 Pro headlamp (4k max lum) +NoxGear Tracer 2 LED light vest....ISO...LED tire lights...
I have some favorites on here… The Garmin radar light (indispensable), the Hover, X1 (fun), and probably my favorite the Karoo 2. The battery life of the Karoo is not a problem for me… I go at least once a week for a 5 to 7 hour ride and still have juice… I would imagine that longer rides might be a problem and I do charge it up before said ride.
The Garmin Varia is THE device that everyone says that once they’ve tried it, they just can’t do without! Never used one myself and it sounds so gimmicky, but everyone loves them 💖
Half German, half Canadian here... We get the Canadian "eh?" Stereotype a lot but I can attest the German "ja?" being used basically as a comma sprinkled everywhere in sentences!!
I like the look of the Raveman and like you have the Karoo 2, what mount do you use? And I assume the Hammerhead adaptor on the top to allow the HH to fit in there? Looking at the way it sits on the Ravemen, can you plug in a power bank?
I have the garmin adapter on the Hammerhead 2 that came with it. This way it mounts super easy. Also mounted on the Raveman you have access to the usb connector in case you want to plug in a power bank. I am using different mounts on my bikes but most having a standardized garmin connector on it. So that everything fits with the raveman.
With regard to the Raveman light. I found one for half the price from rockbros, great is that it’s at the same time a external battery with 5000 mAh, light is also decent but of course it’s a little heavier considering the 🔋
I have a Garmin Edge 830 as well as a Wahoo Elemnt Roam that came as a package deal with a used bike I picked up recently. My first impulse was to try and sell it since I already had the Garmin but decided to give it a go. I actually really like the Wahoo and it may even be better than the Garmin in some ways despite the lack of a touch screen. The companion app is fantastic and the navigation is easier to understand at a glance while riding. Wonderful video, I know what to get myself for Christmas… as a gift of course 😜
I never tried a Garmin. Always eyeballed with them tho sho happy to hear that aside of a touchscreen you actually prefer the wahoo. 🤜🤛 Glad you enjoyed that video. So what did you pick for yourself? 🫣
cool vid as always :) - quick question: while i get that electronic gadgets are cool, where is the benefit of a battery powered pump compared to, say a Lezyne pocket drive mini pump? I get that it's easy to pump up a tyre w/o breaking a sweat, but what do you do if the charge runs out? Maybe it's just the convenience factor?
I have the Karoo 2 and my typical ride is 3-4 hours. I have never gone below 50% battery and I am usually in the low to mid 60% range. And I turn the battery saver function off. If I used the battery saver, I'm sure it would last much longer. So far, battery life has been no issue for me. And would recommend using a mirror along with your radar. I use the "take-a-look" mirror which mounts on your glasses. After using one for 15 years, I can't imagine riding without. I really like the way you do your videos, keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot for the tip. Will have a look at the mirror for your glasses. Sounds like a smart idea. I m wondering if maybe my battery drains so fast because of the wireless devices that are connected to it. As most of the time i have a power meter, the radar, di2 shifters and a heart rate strap linked to it. 🤔 Very happy to hear you enjoy the videos 🤜🤛
I also have the same devices connected. Power, radar, di2 and heart rate. today I did 45 miles over 3 3/4 hours(coffee break halfway) moving time 2:55. and battery was at 62%. So far, battery has been fine for me. I wonder if your battery might have a problem. I have had battery issues with both Garmin and Bryton. Really liked the video you did on the Ltwoo electronic group set. @@klein-concept
Do not use the 24g TPU on public roads. They pop so easily. Bought 4 tube and none of them lasted more than 20km before popping. It is meant for indoor cycling only. I installed the 36g, I'm close to 1000km now with those.
I saw the same performance out of RideNow TPU tubes. The rear lasted about 50 miles and the front lasted about 75. I put one more new one on the front and it lasted 2-5 miles before it popped.
TBH a really great list. Was expecting one of those lists dominated by high-end fluff with the odd good everyday usable item, but instead is was filled with many everyday usable items that make the cycling experience more enjoyable.
I watched a more detailed video about the Hover X1 drone some weeks back. I thought it would be a great gadget to record my ride in case of a possible accident. Unfortunately I lost interest as soon as it was mentioned the battery life is ten minutes. 😢 Has the battery life been extended? I also use a mirror that attaches to my glasses. Won't ride without it
Yes the battery life is around 10 min. Definitely nothing that could follow you around for a bigger part of a ride. I only make 30 second clips with it so it gives me enough battery for what i need. But if you are looking for footage in case of an accident maybe have a look at that Magicshine light with camera.
Nettes Video 👌🏻 aber mal eine Frage. Bei der Drohnen Szene… ist das da in der Gegend Oppenheim? Kommt mir seltsam bekannt vor, die Weinberge und Windkräfträder im Hintergrund…
I have a Bontrager Torque Key which I use for my cockpit bolts (seatpost, handlebars, headset) It's very small and it clicks over when you reach the correct torque so there is no danger of over-tightening the bolts. If the handlebars or seatpost are slipping, I apply a little carbon paste between parts and that fixes it. Prestacycle makes them as well (I believe the Bontrager is NLA) Oh, and great list overall! I have most of those items (or equivalent), but there were a few new ones that will be going on my X-mas list!
@@klein-concept Then my guess seems right. As a cycling enthusiast and a WRC fan, I envy you could cycling there! Maybe around here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yhtJCXq3oxE.htmlsi=Obqy_0TZPHhL-cV0
Thanks a lot. You have a point there. Was thinking about a mirror solution as well before i got it but the garmin detects an upcoming car from an impressive distance. But overall yes. It is more of a pure convenience thing for a nerd like me who likes all these gadgets 😂😂
I can not really speak to longevity yet as i just switched two bikes to TPU a couple weeks ago with no problems so far. But i had a lot of comments from very happy TPU users on the previous video so i assume they should last pretty long.
Australian made G8 are total disssapointment for me, I spent 130 Sterlinga, and my feed are totally numb afrer few rides. If you have normal healphy feet and good cycling shoes (I have MTB brand DMT)G8 is waste of money! Tey ara very this, and when you replace your original insoles the pressure increases and squeeses your feet even in larger shoe size. For this money you can by on Sale very good shoes. Wahoo 2 Bolt is a good option, very smal screen with good contrast, sensible battery life, a bit idiotic app to work out.
Hehe i agree that the wahoo app is a bit messy. Regarding the G8 sorry to hear that. I can only talk from my experience as i have very messed up feetpositions and was using custom insoles before which also worked great but i liked the G8 as i can adjust them over time.
I thought that pain behind the knee would be the result of overextension? But if you are right than maybe the extra hight on the heel and arch pushed my foot just up enough to make a difference 🤜🤛
@@klein-concept Your pelvis and bottom of the pedal stroke are fixed contact points. Your body is forced to compensate the length difference using components that are not stretchy. Hips rocking, pushing the knee against the ITB band in order to transfer power through the ball of the foot, which is clipped in. These are fine movements, difficult to notice about yourself while riding, ask a riding buddy to record a video before and after lowering the saddle, try not to be self conscious, pedal naturally.
I want to enjoy the content but please consider alternatives to showing the presenter's (nice) mug shot (oversized eyeglasses close ups) in almost every frame. You're giving us too much of a good thing, and it is a distraction from the interesting gadgets and gifts you're advertising.
Those tubes are the most unreliable product I've ever purchased. The quality control sucks. I returned the unused ones and got a full refund. Horrible company quality.
Thats great that you ve been able to return them. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with them. So far out of the 7 i used 6 are still holding their air very well.
