Just to let you know: on Friday 12 July a new song from 16 years old Emma Kok is officially released on the media (RU-vid, Spotify). It is called "Dancing on the stars" and it is a new song, so not a cover. I have heard it already on a few (not so good) amateur recordings as Emma is performing it right now during the Vrijthof Concerts in Maastricht (Netherlands), where the "Emma madness" (in the good way!!) started one year ago. So that makes totally sense. This song is written/composed 20 years ago by Dutch songwriter Tjeerd Oosterhuis and no one has performed it till..... he met Emma who liked the song so much that she asked André Rieu if she could sing it in this years concerts in Maastricht. And that is what is happening right now: an "André Rieu proof" arrangement has been made and Emma is performing it on the big square "Vrijthof" in Maastricht for the 10,500 audience. That's all I say, because it would be unfair to you if there are already opinions before you have made your mind up.

Dear all, this is Roelof from Netherlands I noticed that the translation is on many points not right. 1 thing this is a dialect in Netherlands so Google translate has difficutlties with translating this.

Lovely video. In the first half Emma is singing this nice song in a Dutch dialect, which is spoken in the area where she lives, here. Please ignore all the Google translations.... It is a complete failure (as always...). The second half is a little bit better but it remains a Google translation.

Alex, thank you for the additional "behind the scenes" moments with Emma. I've been enjoying these as well. However, I'm wondering why you skipped the part (at Rob the pianist's house) where she sings Door de Wind? It's one of my favorites; another one that gets me choked up! As usual, she sings it with such commitment and emotion. The lyrics - for me - are as poignant as the ones to Voila. Please feature and react to that one as well... soon! 😊

When she speaks in English, she sounds like she’s 25. She speaks with the maturity here but still sounds like a little girl, but in English, she sounds so much older.

Absolutely love Emma and your videos with her. Someone else I think you might be flabbergasted by is an American gospel singer named David Phelps. He can sing any genre of music perfectly and also has a unique voice for a tenor. I would love for you to react to him singing a medley of Ave Maria / the Lord's prayer from his classic concert. It's the children who do the bullying, it's the parents that create the environment for this very dark side of childhood to happen. I am so sorry this beautiful child had to endure the darkness. I like to think she is all the more amazing for it. But is was so, so unnecessary addition to ones memories.

Bullying by children has been around since the beginning of time. It is human nature. You also see it with other mammals where the stronger pick on the weaker. It's, as you know, called the 'pecking order'. Even kids with responsible parents engage in bullying. It just is, and always will be. You cannot change fundamental human nature.

She actually sang Door de Wind earlier in this video. Don't know why it was cut out of this particular version. The gentleman is Rob Mennen, an accomplished pianist and family friend. He has been working with Emma for many years now. I'm not sure if he is also a voice coach or not. He appears in many of these earlier videos of Emma accompanying her on piano. Most recently (a couple of weeks ago) he accompanied Emma on a powerful version of Hallelujah in which she holds nothing back. I have never heard Emma sing with such power before. She really belts this one out. The video begins as an interview with a group entertainment reporters in which she talks about the upcoming world tour with Andre Rieu, after which she performs for them. I would leave a link, but RU-vid always removes any comment I make that includes a link. Not sure why, as I see many others do it. Anyway it's easily found on RU-vid with a simple search. All the best.

@exeter1588 I suspect that youtube is doing very strange things with your account, but I don't know enough about their internal workings to know why, I've noticed earlier that a number of your posts in a recent thread where we were exchanging messages have all gone away, but my posts are still there, which doesn't make sense. I have worked out that any link outside of youtube is a kiss of death to a message, which is a pain, but from what I can remember of the thread that's lost posts, there was nothing controversial or contentious in those posts. The biggest pain is that there's no way to set up a private messaging option to try and resolve the issues, and no way to keep things like email addresses private in here, and I'm not about to start spreading my e-mail address about in here, I get enough spam as it is, I've got three different people all supposedly Emma Kok, and because of RU-vid's rules, we can't work out which ones are genuine, and which are fakes.

Thanks for the heads-up. Not sure what's going on. I have submitted a couple of written complaints to RU-vid through their Help Center or whatever they call it. I have never gotten a reply. I have never found a way to actually talk to anyone. They don't have a Customer Service phone number, so there is nobody to call. Once, a month or so ago, they banned me from making comments for 24 hrs. They said that I had violated their community guidelines or something like that, but they didn't specify what guideline I had violated. Actually, I remember now that a couple of times they had not allowed me to post a comment in real time. When I clicked on 'Reply' a window popped up and said that I was violating community guidelines. Then everything I had written just disappeared. @@stevecgarry

She sings in different Dutch accents Different languages English and French And Kerkrade is Limburg very hight accent To be honest I’m from the north of the Netherlands can’t understand her at all 😂😂😂
