I found the concept of 'channeling the Higher Self' confusing for several years. I observed people entering a channeling or meditative state to connect with their Higher Self, and, at times, it appeared as if their Higher Self had a completely different personality. They would hear a voice distinct from their own. In my own experiences, however, connecting with my Higher Self never felt like engaging with a separate entity. Instead, the information came as a quiet inner voice, which I initially questioned as I expected it to resemble the external dialogues I witnessed. This inner voice didn't just suddenly appear, it has been with me all my life.
My confusion dissolved when I heard Bashar's explanation that our Higher Self is indeed us, but the highest version of ourselves. Lincoln Gergar further clarified that he doesn't treat his Higher Self as a separate person, despite appearances. He shared that he receives information only when he asks a question. This perspective resonated with me, and I realized that the quiet inner voice, characterized by inclusivity and unconditional love, was, in fact, an aspect of myself.
It's crucial to understand that people may appear to channel different personalities because the tone and words used can vary based on their state of consciousness. Higher consciousness information, to me, consistently sounds lovely as it embodies wisdom. I hope this helps you if you have also found it confusing. Your relationship with your higher mind may not "look" like what you see others doing. It is you, your ordinary awareness but from the perspective of unconditional love and with out fear.

Focus on the feeling of the space on the chest. Volume just means to focus on the space that occupies the center of your chest.

As we start to expand our awareness/consciousness and raise our vibration we become more aware of idea/beliefs held within us that are out of alignment with our true nature. Any negative emotion is showing us that we have a believe/attitudes that is out of alignment. Expansion of our awareness is designed to show us that we have these limited beliefs so we can correct them and re-integrate them so that they are in alignment. Therefore it helps if you can understand that this process is you showing yourself that you have a belief that is in the way of you feeling more whole and complete, more like your true self. Emotions do not happen in a vacuum. To help you identify the belief that needs to be realigned, you can ask yourself, "what must I believe about myself, or about reality, that would make me feel these emotions?" If the belief is "I am angry because I don't feel loved", for example, then state the opposite belief until you really believe it, reintegrate it. Notice how the thought associated with this belief has been operating within you casting this shadow on your experiences. I hope this helps.
