A comprehensive video about velomobiel.nl's Quatrevelo that hopefully gives you all info you need about it :). You are looking at a stock Quatrevelo. The only exceptions to that is that I've added a gps mount, arm rests and bottle holder. On my steering wheel I have a Garmin gps mount.

Barney the Legborghini, is also a newer Quatrevelo, but I still call him a Quattrovelo. Great review. My QV has a Rohloff hub, with Tongsheng 350W e-motor. Absolutely a must for the mountains where I live. I have the kit to put a front hatch in, so as to reach the cargo spaces easily, but I have not built up the courage to cut the carbon yet! I also made, with the help of a friend, a carbon fiber 'tray' to fit two batteries for the e-motor, and that goes behind seat on top of the rear drivetrain. I'll make a video about the construction of that in due course.

@@Legborghini72 nice! I would love to see your modifications. I can imagine e-assist is nice in the hills. Couple of weeks back it was quite challenging in the hills down south of the Netherlands. These aren’t mountains I know. But driving a velomobile up a hill is a little bit harder than a regular bicycle.

I just received my Quatrevelo here in the United States. It's chassis number is QV322. I opted for the rear disk brakes and the Schlumpf Mountain Drive.

I have been stalked, harrassed and reported to both the police and the Sherriff's Office by the stalker at the same time. That has been many months ago. Tuesday of this week (1-02-24) is the first time since then that I attempted to ride it any more. I drove my Quatrevelo into town to take care of some business. After visiting an office, I got back into my velomobile and began to drive away. For some reason, my tiller steering was lose and would not allow me to turn sharp enough to complete my turn. I almost hit a car and had to slam on brakes. Then I had to back up and go forward repeatedly. Several times on my way driving home. I will not be able to ride it again until I can figure out how to resolve this issue. @@julesvelomobile

Could you fit a net under the hood where you put your rain cover? This could get you additional luggage space for light cargo, like food for the trip, or when going to the beach, I'd put my diving mask, towel and swimming trunks there, or the tent pegs and guy lines when camping.

Yeah I guess you can. You need to add some attachment points tough. And you need to be careful not to make the bike top heavy

goede video! Zo goed dat ik mensen kan verwijzen hierna zodat ik het zelf niet hoef te zeggen :p Maar over dat instappen: als ik erin zit sluit ik altijd eerst de alien hood en zet mijn vezier op de open stand en daarna pak ik de foam cover van de voorkant af en schuif ik dus zo naar mij toe.

I know how to remove a front wheel on a Quest, how would you remove a rear wheel on a Quatrevelo to replace a broken spoke?

Very good question. For the front wheels you can remove the suspension, and the rods for the steering assembly and remove the wheel without removing it from the axle. For the rear wheels it's a different story. You need to pop of the covers in the center of the wheels first. With a flathead screwdriver if I am correct. Then you need to take an Allan key I believe and bend it a little bit so you can lengthen it by putting a pipe over it. Don't know which size. That way you can loosen the wheel and take it out. Never done that by myself though. When putting it back, please look if you can find some bright red, blue colors on the threads. This means that loctite was uses when fastening the stuff back together. 21:15 shows the little metal plate. Bottom right, inside of the box. Mine notes: QV302. I suspect yours is QV322. Am I right? I swear it’s located in a different spot too. But at the moment I don’t know. Will update this reaction if I find out again.

Why does it have two massive cut outs in the footwell !? That areas big enough to rotate cranks without cut outs surely? is it clear plastic? they will cause so much drag / your feet patting the on coming breeze like a bicycle aswel .

Very good question! I have size 11 UK and size 45 Europe, and I don't hit the cut outs normally. You can close them with different inserts they sell. One of those is made from carbon, and another one from a rubber like material. The bottom, including the part where the cutouts are, is from carbon fiber. Pretty much the whole bicycle is constructed from carbon fiber. The holes don't cause noticeable drag. They have several advantages. Since the Quatrevelo doesn't have a reverse, you need a way to reverse. You can put your feet on the ground through those cutouts to reverse like the Flintstones. The second advantage is that they allow a little bit of fresh and colder air to come in which is nice when it is warm outside. Even when it is -2 degrees celsius outside it is nice to have them open. Just close the manhole with the cover and you are nice and warm outside! When I did not have receive my Quatrevelo after I ordered it, I was worried that it was taking in too much cold air via those holes or even water when heavy rain is falling. But none of these thoughts were correct. I don't have to worry at all about those things, because it is designed pretty good.

My f1 watching brain sees big gaps and thinks the worst😂. i'm building something with pedals , it's going to accelerate like a dirtbike , ive noticed man has forgot something very spicy , so i'll have the market to myself until they all realise and copy my designs 😂 . It exploits flywheels , Men will face palm globally when they see how simple it is / what gov keeps quiet .

Oudere QV’s hadden geen driehoekige verstevigings blokjes bij de achterbrug. Die kan je er in laten zetten. En de head in hood is aan de achterkant verticaal gekromd bij de achterlichten. En oudere qvs hebben volgens mij ook niet altijd die compartimenten aan de zijkanten. En de stoel zit nu vooraan vast met een beugeltje met drie gaatjes. Zodat je hem kan verstellen. Dat was vroeger gewoon maar 1 gaatje met ringetjes. Volgens mij waren dat de verschillen. De wit groene fiets in de andere video’s die ik op dit kanaal heb staan is als ik het goed heb nummer 8. Dus echt een van de eerste. Vandaar dat ik het kan vergelijken

😀. It has an electric motor option. But I would only recommend that if you have some kind of issues with your bones / muscles. Because when you are healthy it’s very easy to drive faster than an electric motor does allow you to go legally.

I have a Quatrevelo without motor after I have had a motor on the previous velomobil. It only pays out if you regularly have to conquer hills. But even in the Blackforest where I live I can do well without. On the plane, you are usually much faster than 25 km/h and then you have some additional weight because of the motor and battery.
