Wow a 9mm suit; I am impressed that you can still swim in such thick neoprene (perhaps because the newer materials are more supple). Great footage as always! Very interesting clip about the effects of such small boulders on turbulence and fish holding places. Thanks again.
The open cell freediving suits are indeed quite flexible. This one unfortunately is very tight in the neck and made me feel choked the whole time. Might have to have it altered. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely, when you hunt a fish or animal, you spend years trying to understand everything about it and with that understanding comes admiration and even love.
We haven't had a hatchery program for cutthroat for about 7 or 8 years now. It's theoretically possible that some of those are still around, but they'd be around 20 inches by now. That is definitely a rainbow, 3 years old would be my guess.
@@petrhermanadventures9509 Hi Petr. So it's not a steelhead smolt? I noticed at 16.22 to 16:25 on the raw video a dollie comes up close to the camera. K
This is the first time all winter I've bee in the river, but if I did what you allege, I don't think it would be unethical or an unfair advantage. I weighed in 5 fish, and won first place in one derby, second place in another, also weighed in the first fish in two derbies. I went to the river daily and landed 25 steelhead to make that happen.
