If a gourmet chef and a pit master had a child it would be Up In Smoke BBQ in Cedar Rapids, IA. The best smoked wings I've ever had and the most unique cornbread you'll ever eat. Great beans, ribs, large sides and friendly service. If you're anywhere near Cedar Rapids, you better get down to the Czech village district and try a plate of their stuff.

It looked good brother. I love the little crocks they served the sides in. I do not prefer sweet cornbread but I do put a small amount of sugar in my southern-style cornbread. You would not know it was in there though. Man it sounds like a great place to eat. Glad you liked it brother.

Yes I don’t mind a little sugar in regular cornbread. This was like a dessert but it was so moist and like nothing I’ve ever had before.

Man, you shoulda called me! I would have shot over and met up with you! Thats only an hour or so west of me. I'm definitely gonna hit that place up next time I'm over there. If there's one thing we know in Iowa, it's corn and cornbread. Lol

We packed our bags and left with the intention of heading toward Memphis. We changed our minds before we hit the interstate and ended up staying to night in Des Moines. I honestly had no idea where we were in relation to you. I had Davenport in my head and thought we might end up there but we went to WI instead. It was an adventure.
