The incomplete list of awesome Canadian 90's bands: Captain Tractor, The Odds, The Hip, The Headstones, 54-40, TPOH, Great Big Sea (before buddy cut his hair), Moist, Junkhouse, I Mother Earth, Our Lady Peace (Rain is just Alanis Morisette in guys clothing), Sloan, Rhymes With Orange, Matt Good, Big Sugar, Big Wreck, Gob (I love Soda), and of course there's lots more but imagine seeing all these bands in one weekend at one show. That was what the 90's in Canada was all about.
So glad I just happened to find my self living in Fort Sask when they played the Canada Day show Headliner “Captain Tractor” I was so stoked ! Ya mean “the last Saskatchewan pirate” are playing down the street ? Great tune great band .... I think I lost the USB drive with the entire music collection on it ..... wife was “cleaning up” again 😑🤷♂️🙄🤔🇨🇦
So I have a vague memory of hearing this once, with slightly different words - and there was a verse near the end which made it sound like after all that he's not going home, he's staggering up the hill to continue drinking somewhere else. Does that ring a bell with anybody? I'd think it was a false memory but my brain's generally not creative enough to come up with something like that.
