I think they already scraped the whole fire weakness for the symbiotes. When Peter and Harry rescue Tombstone, Peter ask Harry if the fire is bothering him and Harry said it wasn't.

Since fire is no longer a weakness for the symbiotes and the cult loves fire I can imagine that insomniac carnage will be able to breathe fire. If MJ has the ability to make sonic blasts as scream I think carnage could breathe fire

Insomniac miles isn’t an anomaly. The only reason ATSV Miles was an anomaly is because the spider he was bitten with came from another dimension. Since Miles was bitten by one from his own dimension, it’s not an anomaly.

I feel the Beetle Mainia and Carnage DLCs will be the best since they introduce new villains such as how the first Spider-Man game DLC was all about Hammerhead

10:01 Miguel probably wouldn’t see Insomniac’s Miles as an anomaly. The only reason he views Miles from Spider-Verse as an anomaly was because the spider that bit him wasn’t from his universe. Whereas the one that bit Miles in the Insomniac games actually belongs in *that* universe.

It's a shame that the spider verse comics aren't considered canon in the games. The interactions between ps4 spider man with 1610 miles and superior spider man were so cool. Hell superior left a spider bot to keep tabs on insomniac otto's status. Hmmm, what if he told insomiac otto of the superior plan to take Peter's body, and that's what his plan is for spider man 3?

Since these games take a lot of inspiration from the Ultimate universe I think it’s safe to say that Beetle will also follow suit. Instead of being a Latverian spy tasked with stealing a symbiote he could be hired by Kraven’s daughter to steal the Carnage symbiote. She would want to kill the symbiote herself where her father couldn’t to show off her superiority, but either due to Spider-Man’s interference or Beetle’s recklessness it leads to Cletus bonding with the symbiote giving us Carnage.

No offense but all criticisms against ng+ being missing at launch are ignoring the fact that most PlayStation games launch this way with ng+ modes added after stability patches and such. Pre-release the entire focus is on making the best game they can and I have no problem w this approach.

If Miguel is going to be in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as a DLC, then it needs to be the Edge of Time Miguel and not the Across the Spider-Verse one. In Edge of Time, Miguel breaks 2 canon events by saving Peter from Anti-Venom and saving Mary Jane from an elevator; Edge of Time Miguel would be really interesting to see in this game since he should've been in Across the Spider-Verse anyway.

I think the first DLC is going to focus on Chameleon and Beetle, the second will focus on the Life Foundation symbiotes possibly merging into Hybrid (Riot, Lasher, Phage and Agony) and the third will focus on Carnage and possibly Knull to finalize the symbiote storyline so they can move on to Spider-Man 3 with fresh villains.

Seeing Across the Spider-Verse's Migel interact with Insomniac Miles who isn't an anomaly might give Migel something to think about what is and isn't "canon" in the multiverse and might get him to change his fatalists ways. It'd be really cool if this was actually a key component to the plot of Beyond the Spider-Verse, it'd be the first time a video game DLC tie in was crucial to the conclusion of a film trilogy. Sony has the potential to make history here.

I think Insomniac needs to have a cool down Period I mean the attacks on their servers the leaks employees getting their information and homes addresses thrown out

I personally think they should put survival mode side missions just like the first game and more side missions like lizard humans. So even if you completed all the side missions, there's still more to do. And yes, changing the weather to snow through our the story/game as an option needs to be included.

Beetlemania will probably follow a comic arc where Beetle was hired to steal a symbiote, this would lead into Carnage probably and I can see being a Miles focused DLC and would keep the symbiote focus of the game Extreme Carnage I think will feature Carnage but not as a boss but more importantly, will feature Miles getting consumed and turned into a Symbiote for Carnage with Miles being the big villain of the DLC, as apparently there was a Miles symbiote arc cut from the base game late in development. I believe this would also set up a proper Venom spin off game as well that was mentioned in the leaks which in turn I think should feature Peter and Venom vs Carnage with Peter losing the Anti-Venom symbiote in the spin off game. Spider-Verse I can see being Peter focused and once he learned of what Miguel thought of Miles he would bail like others did. This would lead us to the game with Peter vs Miguel fight, with Miguel aiming to take down Miles and Peter fighting to protect Miles, who is an emotional wreck after being possessed by the Carnage symbiote and in no condition to fight. Anti Venom being Peter would throw Miguel for a loop as well

They state during the first mission with Harry as Agent Venom, that the suit protects vs extreme heats and fire hence implying symbiotes in the games aren't weak to fire

I’m hoping the Spider-Verse DLC doesn’t take place before ATSV and actually after because I want to see Insomniac Peter and Miles ditch the society after finding out what the society was doing to keep the “canon” (they were letting people die and letting really bad things happen without even trying to help people). As much as I would love a Peter and Miles vs Miguel boss fight, the leaks only have Beetle and Carnage as bosses, so no Miguel boss probably.

Another thing that I'll mention about the Beetle is that, at least at some point in the comics, the moniker of the Beetle was actually taken on by the daughter of Tombstone. This would be an interesting idea to explore, since Tombstone is trying to turn his life around in the games, but there's a chance that his daughter wants to go and become a new criminal leader. Then again, there's a lot of set-up for Kraven's family, so perhaps the Beetle will be Kraven's kid, not Tombstone's.

I really don't want a carnage DLC. We've already been through symbiote monsters taking over the city. Doing it again right after the Venom crisis would be unrealistic.

The Spider Bot cutscene made it think of the OG Lara Craft, with PS1 graphics and all.

Fyi the beetle is a assassin for hire that more often than not works for Taskmaster in the comics. Also theres the fact thay we never learned who exactly hired Taskmaster to test spidermans abilities in spiderman 1. So, either taskmaster hired him or the people who hired taskmaster hired him. Miguel is a bit of a jerk but there's zero reason for him to treat this Miles any different from any other Spider-Person. The spider that bit videogame Miles was from the same universe, meaning it was just a regular canon event that doesn't interfere with another. He hates movie Miles because he thinks he stole an opportunity from the Prowler Miles that who was the one that was supposed to get bit.

There's no fuckin way you actually go to the Spider Society it would raise too many questions and require way too much coordination with the Sony animation team. Like Pete being there in the film means he was recruited if I had to GUESS the DLC will be the reason he gets recruited, but I'd bet you anything what will actually happen is some sort of villain variant will show up and cause havoc, and upon Pete and Miles stopping him or hell maybe just Pete Miguel will maybe cameo and say something like, "we'll be in touch." There's no way in hell though it goes much farther than that, or- maybe Mig will be a playable ally or something MAYBE. But we're not stepping foot in the society, that's so much extra work like there's no way to put Pete there without it becoming such a massive undertaking and then suddenly you're affecting the history of a version of the Spider-Man mythos that isn't yours to fuck with. I don't know I just don't see a snowball's chance you go there, and I really doubt there'll be much interaction with Miggy if any. Again I'd bet we see some sort of variant crop up or maybe even a couple and the DLC sees you taking them down and once you do Mig maybe shows up and snatches them all from you, says some sorries or something again eludes to Pete joining and dips. Mig in ATSV SEEMS to imply there are 0 Miles Morales in the society and that he's not even aware of any getting spider powers, so I don't think they'd feature him in a role where he interacts with one, I feel like it would kind of break the narrative of the film. Even if his beef in the film is with which spider bit Miles, if he knew another Miles it HAD happened to I just don't think he'd be as much of a dick about it.
