Man, Muse is a legend, I cannot think of a band that could really shine like this, I just keep coming back to listen to them unlike any other band I love, so unique

People will hate this but I absolutely love The Resistance, the melodrama and overall musicality of it. Just so theatrical. What I love about Muse

Wow, didn't know so many people disliked The Resistance, I could listen to that album forever and always love it

Showbiz is too underrated

There's no way 2nd Law is better than Showbiz and The Resistance! Origin of Symmetry is by far 1st for me btw.

7. The Resistance (the title track is gold) 6. Showbiz (muscle museum is one of my favorite muse songs) 5. The 2nd Law (supremacy=chills, madness was my first song by them, and liquid state is underrated) 4. Drones (Reapers and The Handler are perfection and dead inside is a jam) 3. Absolution (Stockholm syndrome hits hard and so does the small print, hysteria is great and blackout is soothing) 2. Black Holes and Revelations (knights of cydonia is pure gold and map of the problematique is great) 1. Origins of symmetry (Plug in Baby is my all time favorite muse song. New born is my second favorite. Citizen erased and Bliss are both amazing)

I actually really liked The Resistance....The Exogenisis was AMAZING.

I disagree with showbiz and resistance being that low. Both have some REAL HUGE bangers.

I love all Muse albums almost equally so it was hard to rank them. 7. Showbiz. Epic selection of songs such as Sunburn and Showbiz, butI think it starts to drag after Uno and starts to lose pace with Sober, Overdue and Hate This & I'll Love You. 6. Drones. Great "back to basics" idea with heavy songs such as Reapers and The Handler as well as the softer ones such as Mercy and Aftermath. The 10 minute Globalist is just downright epic. However, I find some of the songs to be too cheesy, e.g. Psycho (+Drill Sergeant), Dead Inside, Defector and Revolt. Stop saying "babe" so damn often! 5. The Resistance. I think it's too underrated and I like some of the classic themed pieces such as United States of Eurasia and I Belong To You. The Exogenesis symphony in my opinion is the best way to close the album. I also liked the heavier Uprising, Resistance, MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection. 4. The 2nd Law. I think too many people focus on the funkiness or over-the-topness (which I don't mind) of Panic Station or Survival or the pop based Madness, Big Freeze and Follow Me (which I also like) that they look past the epicness of Supremacy, the power of Chris' songs and the fitting 2-part ending. 3. Origin of Symmetry. I love this album for the same reason as almost everyone else. I enjoy headbanging to the heaviness of all the heavy songs. Screenager, the 1 slower song of the album tells an interesting and creative story. 2. Black Holes and Revelations. What's there to say about this that hasn't already been said? 1. Absolution. This album perfectly describes the feeling of impending doom, whether on a global level (Apocalypse Please and Butterflies & Hurricanes), a personal level (Blackout and Thoughts of a Dying Atheist) or that relates to both (Time Is Running Out). It has a perfect balance of heavy songs (Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria and The Small Print) and softer songs (Endlessly, Ruled By Secrecy and Falling Away With You). Thank you for reading my quite long ranking of my favourite Muse albums. I hope you respect my opinion because I respect yours (we are Muse fans after all). Feel free to reply your rankings.

you know what i'm just gonna say it: their debut is underrated as fuck, how often do you hear songs like showbiz or sunburn or spiral static??, and also the underrated trio: fillip, overdue, sober. or oh my god their b sides are insane....not to mention that they were not older than 22,23 during writing and recording of their 1st two albums, they were and still are insanely talented guys, only they got a bit lazier with the last 2 or 3 albums for simple reasons, they are getting older, they have families and stuff, it's all justified, but still definitely one of the best bands of the 2000s

i know this might be different from what you usually do, but id love to see a video dedicated to music genres specially in the rock spectrum, like explaining what makes a song prog rock, what makes it emo, or straight up rock n roll, etc etc

Muse is my favorite band alongside Green Day. Here's my list 7. Showbiz (Unintended is my favorite track in this album) 6. OoS (Plug in baby is so damn good) 5. The 2nd Law (I really love Madness, Matt's voice is unbelievable) 4. Drones (Dead Inside now is one of my favorite Muse's songs) 3. Absolution (Time is Running Out is my favorite song of all time alongside Greenday's BoBD) 2. Blackholes and Revelations (Supermassive Blackhole is so damn amazing) 1. The Resistance (Resitance, Uprising, Undisclosed Desire, MK Ultra, Unnatural Selection, and even Exogenesis trilogy, they're all amazing) I know most of you won't agree, but that's my opinion 2.

Muse's albums don't go from worst to best, they go from good to amazing.

My number one is Origin, but my "overall" album for accessibility is Absolution. When I introduce people to Muse, I introduce them to Absolution.

Muse are my favourite band but I feel like I'm the only one who absolutely loves Drones. It's one of the few albums out there that I love to listen to as a whole in one go.

Unpopular opinion: The Resistance is Muse's ultimate masterpiece as an album and one of, if not the, best album so far in this century.

Watching your Top 10 Muse songs video was the first time I heard Liquid State, and I've been listening to it on repeat lately, really underrated song. So thanks for that.

For me Knights of Cydonia is their Bohemian Rhapsody, or their magnum opus. It's almost as good as Bohemian Rhapsody, too.

Exogenesis is by far the best part of The Resistance, and is probably the best piece of music they made since Black Holes and Revelations. I know it's subjective, but I think you just need to be more open to different genres and give it a chance. If you only like rock then obviously Exogenesis will get boring fast, but it's still the best part of The Resistance because it's more original than all the other songs, and extremely beautiful. Resistance, the title track, is not even half as good as the Exogenesis Symphony.

awesome vid! muse is my favourite band of all time and i saw them live almost exactly a month ago so good timing on this video haha. i always find album rankings rather hard but mine would probably go: 7. the 2nd law (has some great tunes on it but just a bit too disorganised for me) 6. the resistance 5. showbiz 4. drones 3. black holes and revelations 2. absolution 1. origin of symmetry (also my favourite album ever) i do think are all of their albums are good and every one has at least one really great song on it though

from worst to best--- 1. the 2nd law - not terrible but idk i felt like it was lacking 2. the resistance - there were only like 8 legit real songs. the piano songs were nice but idk. and i only come back to about 4/8 of the songs. 3. drones - it honestly gets too much slander. its pretty solid, all the other albums are just better 4. bh&r - again, solid. 5/6. showbiz 5/6. absolution - absolution/showbiz are kinda tied, it lowkey depends on my mood 7. origin of symmetry- no one @ me i would literally die for this album its so GOOD. ngl, i was kinda shocked at your list since mine is so drastically different. great video!

I think my personal top would be like this: 7: Drones (Good album but not their best) 6: Showbiz ( Sunburn, Muscle Museum, Showbiz and Spiral Static are great) 5: Resistence (Exogenesis symphony, MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection are top-notch) 4: The 2nd Law (criminally underrated IMO, it has a lot of great songs such as: Animals, Explorers, Supremacy, The 2nd law symphony, Panic Station and more) 3: Black Holes and Revelations (excellent one with highlights such as Map of Problematic, Knights of Cydonia, Glorius, City of Delusion, Take a Bow, Assassin and more) 2: Origin of Symmetry ( a masterpiece and one of the best albums of theirs, highlights: all the album in generall (maybe Dark shines and Screenager a litte bit but they are great ones as well) 1: Absolution (F*cking MASTERPIEEECE and my personal favourite, it's well done and elaborated, highlights: the album itself overall) PD: I like all Muse albums but the first three of them are one of their best in 21st Century and top-notch. This is such a well researched and well rounded overview of Muse history. I've been a Muse fan since i heard Plug in Baby back in 08 or so. I got sick of them for a while between 2nd Law and Drones, but i recently got back into them and appreciate them even more now. So unique and creative. I love your story about Knight of Cydonia xD And i couldn't agree more with everything you said in this.

I think that Muse's albums don't have to be ranked. Every album is full of music which are particularly unique and only people's opinion will change the ranking of the album.

I loved this video! We have very similar ranking. Here's mine: 7. Drones - I only didn't like Revolt, but The Handler is one of their greatest songs!!! It's a solid album for me. 6. Showbiz - What a great debut. This and The Resistance could easily swap places, it's a tough one! 5. The Resistance - Exo-Genesis along with MK Ultra are the best part of this album I wolud say 4. The 2nd Law - I don't know why is there so much hate for this album. This album is genius. 3. Absolution - What a shame that Fury didn't make it to the main edition of album, because it's best song from this era. 2. Black Holes & Revelations - Is there any song that I don't like from this album? I don't think so. 1. Origin Of Symmetry - Easily the most epic and unique masterpiece I've ever heard

If I had to rank every Muse album I would probably end up with the same order. Everything you said to explain your choices made so much sense to me and I think I'll be listening to some Muse again soon. Drones has been quite disappointing so I kinda forgot about Muse but seeing this video reminded me of what a great band they are. I saw them live twice and it just brings back so many good memories so thank you so much for making this video and opening my eyes to my former favorite band!

Nothing could be more perfect than getting this video the day after I saw Muse live!

It’s nice to hear how different people think of their albums. It’s honestly all about personal connections with each album. In my opinion I would rank their albums like this... 7. 2nd law (I like this album but it gets old fast. Liquid state and panic station are very very good songs that I can listen on repeat but the others aren’t as catchy for me) 6. Drones (good album. Each song was pretty good, some were absolutely fantastic, but overall they weren’t to the level of their other songs) 5. Resistance (very solid album, nothing much to say other than that) 4. Black Holes and Rev. (i love every song on this album, but not many songs resonate with me on a personal level) 3. Absolution (each song holds some sort of personal memory with me and this album will always be something special to me) 2. Origin of Symm. (I adore this album. I love every song and I love the whole sound of this whole album. From the theatricalness of megalomania to the ballad of space dementia. Every song is beautiful and I love this album) 1. Showbiz (this album resonates with me on a personal level. Each song sounds so unrefined yet so well put together. It’s rough around the edges and fits perfectly with being a teen in high school. They poured their heart and soul into this album and you can really feel it. This album will always be something special to me) That’s just my personal opinion tho.
