Nebraska isn't doing both end zones, only the south end zone (the opposite side of the one you showed), connecting the concourse 360 degrees, and chair back seating, which is one of the reasons why the seating capacity will get reduced.
As a Nebraska fan, I kinda disagree with your take on our end zones. Like yes they need some love, the bleacher seating isn’t great and South end zone could use some remodeling…but we are the only major college football stadium with the walls of seats in the end zones. I kinda like the uniqueness of them. When you’re standing on the field, and looking up at those stands…it’s just a seemingly endless sea of people. It’s great
@deppresedginger So the original USF renderings were from a feasibility study so technically not a original rendering. They came out with the first set of renderings for the stadium last winter.
How did you miss doing an update on FSU and Doak Campbell? They have live web cams showing renovation progress. One side of seats have been removed. They will have temporary stands for 2024 season.
The Swamp renovations have been slowed down a bit. The fan base was completely against decreasing seating capacity. The seating reduction moving forward will be very minimal or the stadium seating may expand.
Decreased capacity will happen whether you like it or not that’s the trend these days. I know the SEC is all about the biggest stadium with 95% bleacher seats. The was some of theses renovations are going Ben Hill Griffin stadium will probably go from 88k down to possibly 78-80k or lower idk.
Doak is having a big renovation and our capacity will be down to @70k. People don’t realize we’ve got 70% of our fanbase live 2+ hours just one way. Also after this renovation we are actually going to add an expansion probably bump up capacity to 75k.
Sad nothing for Miami has materialized I guess it’s just too crowded in south Florida to make a new stadium for the hurricanes happening…not to mention it’s got professional football, basketball and baseball teams to compete with for sales and interest and the other tourist attractions as well
As a Kansas fan I wish we could play all our games at Sporting KC’s stadium. Arrowhead is 30 miles further and like you said no way Kansas will fill a 76k stadium that’s all the way in Missouri.
Gators aren't hosting the Jags unless an artificial turf field is installed. What makes anyone think otherwise when the UAA and University have seldomly allowed a one show SPRING concert there (Garth Brooks in 2019) that they will flip the script and allow for a mid NFL team to come in and rip the field up more? You can say money, but the offer has been there before and it would have to be a exorbitantly guaranteed sum from Kahn himself to get this across the finish line. It ain't happening. Book it.
@@pacevoez1929 The last major upgrade was to be to 122,000...but the Mob at the Chicago Head Office threatened to cancel the football team and have their GREAT famous coach fired and disgraced then murdered if they had more seating than what that QUIET BORING TOTAL SHITHOLE in Ann Arbor!! So, the corrupt BoT bent the knee and Beaver Stadium was only upgraded to 107K+.....and the Mob in Chicago did it anyway....just because they are jealous of TRUE GREATNESS!! WE ARE.......UNRIVALED!! PS : Did anyone ever notice from an aerial perspective that Ohio Stadium looks like a giant TOILET!!! A great place to take a dump!
KU will sell out arrowhead. I heard a construction worker saved the block of coach John wooden name on it? I don’t know if it’s true he did saved it. KU is where John wooden was inspired to be a basketball coach, he was always talking to Dr. Naismith and Phog Allen on the hill…
@GoOp790 They did sell out the stadium most of time. Not to mention KC metro is full of KU alumni. I think it’s better to build the new stadium on the west campus in Lawrence.
@@kujhawks35 that would have been nice, ultimately I think they made the right cchoice keeping it on campus. Not perfect until it’s done in like 2027 or 2028 but it will probably be worth it by then
Bud as a KU fan no chance we sell out Arrowhead. I still saw pockets of open seating last year. I’d rather us play all our games at Children’s Mercy and have that place insanely loud then a half empty Arrowhead.
The Swamp looks like every architect tasked with doing an improvement on it just looked at it and said "eh... fuck it. Not like I could make it look worse."
If you aren't giving Hawaii any money, them don't critique them because it's expensive as hell to build in Hawaii. I'll be they are happy to leave that dump that they use to play in. If you don't have anything positive to say then I'm sure folks in Hawaii would tell you I'd you don't care for it , then give them the extra 3 or 4 hundred million dollars to improve it.
Dude you missed one of the largest renovations going on right now. FSU’s Doak Campbell Stadium is in the middle of a large scale renovation that will be going on through this season and will be done in time for the 2025 season.
sad that Kansas decided to destroy such a old stadium. they should have tried to incorporate the old structure instead of destroying a hundred year old stadium just to replace it with boring generic crap. I really wish America could bet back to building beautiful buildings and not just generic crap that has no character.
@@jaylucien669 might have been fairly ordinary when it was built 100 years ago, but that architectural style is hardly generic now days. America does not build beautiful buildings anymore, everything is built utilitarian with glass curtains covering up the ugly structures beneath.
@@jaylucien669 I like the how it looked when new. it's all the modern addon's that make the stadium look bad. if you look up old photos from the early 1900s then you can see a decent looking building. and the new stadium renovation looks awful.
@@trollingpcgamesyou’re the first person I’ve ever heard say that stadium looked good. It was the eye sore of all Power 5 teams. I get your argument but it’s not 1930 anymore people don’t like the horse shoe designs.
