PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!!!! For those of you who are about to make fun of me for originally thinking this was Traction and not Hydro, JUST STOP and BACK OFF!!!! I was FOOLED thinking this was Traction because of the way it ran and the noises it makes while running. While I was wrong and this is indeed a Hydro, I am VERY TIRED of people in the elevator community CORRECTING Me ALL THE TIME as well as Correcting my Opinions on a Certain Elevator or Brand WHEN I'VE RIDDEN THE ELEVATOR AND YOU HAVEN'T!!!!! So bottom line is, if you're gonna make fun of me or correct any opinions of mine or any facts about how an elevator runs or acts when you haven't ridden the elevator yourself, your comments WILL be deleted, and I will block certain users at my discretion. Thanks for Understanding, and I hope you enjoyed the video!!!!
If you think of this, Julien, people criticizing you like this are just too lazy to prove your point. Not to even mention this, remember that comment I made on the recent 1983 Dover that I just uploaded couple days ago? People sadly don’t even read the description anymore even though I clearly stated that I got parts from there. I honestly don’t know if they’re blind or visually impaired or something. That’s why they still ask me if I got parts in that building to be very obvious if I say this to you very validly.
@@JimLiElevators Ikr!?!??! It's so annoying!!!! I HATE how people just don't pay attention to things or friggin listen!!! Tbh, this community would have a lot less drama if people would STOP correcting each other, begging for things, correcting opinions, lying, doing things that could get themselves killed, and putting their noses in places they don't belong!!!
Floridian Elevators It’s all thanks to paranoia if you think about this cause here. Paranoia is what all started this s***! You have to blame that kind of stuff for making everything traumatically fall apart. That means that people these days are just incredibly paranoid mindlessly all for nothing! Now with people who do not pay close attention to stuff, I talked with Car Wash Fanatics and tkefan29 just recently ago, and they both are pretty much in the similar condition as you are I think to be quite obvious. And now as for begging on things, I pretty much noticed someone saying something directly like “Can I have an elevator button?“. Mostly people younger who are mentally disabled is what’s pretty much common. I find that quite creepy and rude. And as you know this, Julien, I kind of fell into that level but mainly just bugging you from the last time. Honestly as for me, I did that because I was having a panic attack to the point it made it feel like a good reason for that. I don’t mean to come as offending you in certain way, but I do hate to have to flat-out say this, having a hard time has done nothing but anger people and cause to loose friends. I have basically realized that certain people do not care if I had a hard time or not, which made me feel bad and so guilty. :( No offense, not trying to beat myself up, but I wanted you to understand that if you’d be able to. That pretty much ties into all this paranoia stuff that has been lasting through this whole entire decade, and will continue to last nonstop.
@@JimLiElevators Yeah, I'm ready for this decade to end and I'm hoping the next one is better. And yes, tkefan29 is definitely feeling the same way I am and so are a few other users. And while it is true that you used to beg people for stuff and I'm well aware you no longer do it, there are some other people that do, and my god is it annoying! Plus, I was talking to Andrew about this, and he is getting really annoyed with people claiming that they found something first, and stuff like that, which I agree with!
Usually I’m impressed with a lot of ThyssenKrupp installations, but this one is taking a severe beating. Sad to see this Endura MRL in such rough shape.
I don’t mean to make fun of you or anything, but I forgot to mention you that the first time I witnessed the brailles on the COP that are already been scratched off and the button pieces replaced made me laugh really hard!
As far as the breakdowns go, I'm sorry, but I blame TK for that. But the fixtures could very easily be the patrons. I mean, you never know, that could be why they installed the security camera! ;)
@@Jamestube8439 MRL simply means Machine Roomless. This thing has no machine room. The controller is in the door jam on 2, and the motor and pump in under the elevator beside the piston. MRL Tractions also typically have the controllers mounted in door jams, but they have a Traction motor that is mounted above the elevator, but within the shaft.
@@FloridianElevators Yeah I knew what MRL meant, what happens when they need to fill the tank with oil, do they send the elevator up and then go into the shaft or something?
I agree about MRL hydraulics being dangerous. Not sure why they think it’s “genius”. I prefer regular hydraulics, but overall hydraulic elevators should completely go. Traction elevators are like, 90% safe, and they break down less often than hydraulics.
I'm sorry but I don't believe any of your reasoning is correct on MRL hydros and their fire risk. These quotes are taken from both this video and your video on a HydroFit. > With the setup having the controller right above the motor, if the controller sparked and malfunctioned, it could hit the motor and cause an explosion Then don't have the controller in the lift pit. Plenty of Kone EcoDiscs have their main LCE logic (rather than a repeater board) in the cabinet, why couldn't you do that for this too? > Also, not to mention of a fire does happen, with the location of the motor in the shaft, if anyone is in the elevator, they would be burned to death. That would be solved with a elevator sprinkler system. A simple fix that doesn't require a blanket ban of a lift drive type. > While the MRL Hydro sounds like a cool concept on paper, they are VERY DANGEROUS to install as a Kruppy tech in the Midwest was KILLED installing one of these, Lift engineers die every year installing elevators. While it's unfortunate, it's not proven that it's magically more likely to happen just because the lift they were installing is MRL hydro. > and also being the motor is UNDER the elevator blocking off any sprinklers, and being it is next to other moving parts that could potentially spark, as well as being in a smaller and more confined space and being Hydraulic elevators work off pressure which generates heat, the MRL Hydro is a BAD FIRE waiting to happen. Nonsense. Sprinklers can be placed in the pit on the side, just like any other sprinkler. And what other parts could "spark", anyway? The controller? That's a low voltage device that's also easily placed in the cabinet. Lift designers are not idiots. They would've seen the possible fire risks too, as it's one of the most obvious things that could go wrong.
@@FloridianElevators Oh so atoll is that fixture, because I've seen those fixtures before but since the lantern was signa4 I assumed it was signa4, thanks for telling me.
Yeah, but this is unnacceptable....Especially since disabled people may now no longer be able to tell what button does which, and I know of plenty of elevators that are used nonstop and are in fact MUCH OLDER than this is that have little to no physical wear whatsoever. Quite honestly, I blame maintenance and TK putting in a panel with cheap plasticky buttons....
@@FloridianElevators I agree with you as well! I have noticed that both Signa4 and Aurora are starting to be replaced more and more often. Usually with Atoll, and formerly with MAD fixtures, like in this elevator.
I think the best option for this place would've been some kind of MAD VR Fixture, and also a Regular Endura with a Machine Room, not an MRL. Also, being there is so much wear and tear and damage on the COP, I wonder if that's why they put the security camera in...
Mrl hydros are junk. In general, mrl traction should take place of the hydro for new installs. Just because of the efficiency. But holy hell do we need to bring back old aesthetics (cab styles, fixtures and mechanical bells)
Omg!! That thing is a piece of KRAPP!! This thing is already beaten up after 3.25 years, the fixtures aren't holding up very well like the Disney EPCOT The Land's New Elevator!! The Delta Elevator was sooo much better & held up 100 times more then this junk!! Escandelev took a 2019 take of this
Floridian Elevators Ik but I spelt it purposely. I'm sure It's gonna get WORSE when I come in December!! I'm sooo glad that put a Security now. I was talking with my buddy from Otis & he said that it's a pain to Maintain. The stupid thing is, the Submersible oil tank lid has 12 Screws to get it open. It's sucks. We hate that. He doesn't like MRL Hydros either. They should be discontinued already. I prefer the HydroFit cause I revisited the 2013 Otis HydroFit MRL & it's lasting much longer even tho it's 6 years old now & nothing happened but will eventually in the next 10 years
Clinton Township Lifts by MagicalLift256 after doing some extensive research I concur. As a matter of fact, new hydros in general apart from freights should be phased out tbh
WTF HAPPENED?!?! You got like two MAD-BS, one A-Toll (AKA New or Newer Thyssenkrupp "Traditional"/Standard) Door Open button, and the older buttons in the mix as well! Talk about a "cheap" replacement job, by like grabbing ANY fixture available--desperately and just slapping it on. I guess that's what you get from McDonald's (or any other fast-food "joint" or restaurant in general...) *SMH*
