My PS5 crashed while playing Spider Man Miles morales, and now my console is stuck at securitty mode evertytime I turn it on. And the only option I am able to choose is option 7 - Reinstall system software. After following the instructions at sony website to reinstall system software, i got the message "Impossible to redefine console". I am still at the security mode loop
Good video! Have you seen the error when trying to download, "unable to download file securely"? I tried every browser I have (Chrome, Edge, IE, Firefox) to no avail. Any ideas?
my ps5 crashed just by updating lol n couldnt start my ps5 but only option was 7 reinstall so if i follow ur steps will my ps5 be new again? cuz im just tripping out so much i cant even play game its stuck on safe mode i dont care if my saved things are gone i just want it working again lmao

omfg I love u so much. my ps5 wasn't letting me sign in because it wasn't updated and it wouldn't let me update it because I wasn't signed In! I was freaking out so bad since this thing is literally 500$! but the usb method fixed everything!! Thank you, worked like a charm. I was doing it somewhat right the first time, but I did not know you have to put it in another folder and label it PS5. Sony providing incomplete rules. Just for this alone I’m subscribing to your channel thank you mate 🙌🏽

@@tannerdonaldson2693 try it bro. Go to library that has usb drive connection. Go to song ps4-5 update and click whatever you need wether is file or software installation. Make sure it’s format32 for software reinstallation and make a folder all CAPS PS5 then in that folder another folder and name it UPDATE AND DOWNLOAD PS5PUP update when done, Drag it to Update folder and make sure you click eject then your good to go. Put ps5 in safe mode then click option 7 and usb drive and bammm downloads its software all over again
oof.. that was close! My PS5 just decided it was taking the day off I guess.. wasn't getting video and thought it was the HDMI port. Turns out the software got scrambled some how .. had to go thru this procedure a few times before it took. Not sure if it matters, but the last attempt I left the USB in during the restart. She's running fine now and my Elden Ring lvl 106 is intact, thanks to the cloud. Appreciate the assist my guy!

Ima try this good explanation. Hot spot not to good for downloads and updates. Mine said there was an issues. And safe mode barely works. It just says use usb. I got the slim one. Maybe my hotspot. Corrupted the system. I have no idea. It worked before i tried to update it.
Hey Friend 👋, thanks for the Intel. Look i have 2 different updates the first one which is the regular update and another one which is the UPDATE (1).PUP. Do you know which one should I choose for the option 7 ?? I'm getting some weird flickering horizontial lines sometimes and Sony told me to choose the 7th option before I take it back for a unit replacement, because I told them that it's a new device and it's not normal to have issues like these. Anyway i told them i believe that something is really messed up with the hardware of my unit, but in the email they sent there is a second type of update the UPDATE (1).PUP which I don't know what this is meant for, and of course it makes my life more difficult since I don't have a clue. Please help 🙏 😢 😭 😫.
Hey! Do you know anyway to install the .PUP without going into safe mode? Because my PS5 is stuck in a black screen (on any TV or monitor) and safe mode is not showing in screen (I hear the two beeps, but nothing happens)
@@CrezBroSteph i ended up sending it for rapair. Took them a month 😴 Trick is to not get anything from the PS4. If you have PS+ at least, all progress is already there.
If you need to do a full reinstall instead of just the update do you still name the folder update? Or reinstall? I have error CE-108255-1 “something went wrong with this game or app” on every single application.. games Netflix everything, nothing loads, Ive done all options in safe mode except the usb update, my software has the latest update Sony told me to try the full reinstall.
So I put update system software and got to the select update part but couldn’t because I had more than one thing plugged into the front of my PS5 so I unplugged the extra stuff and only put in the usb with the update file but now it’s saying “Can’t find the update file” not sure what happened to make the update option not show up anymore
Hopefully Sony will allow users to backup PS5 game saves to a USB drive, and to copy installed PS5 games over to an external drive to make room onto the main SSD.
If you formatted the USB drive fat32 on PC then installed PS5 update file in the correct order on USB drive it should work. Common mistakes are 1. USB drive not formatted to fat 32 before installing PS5 files 2. Installed wrong PS5 files on playstation website 3. Installed folders in the wrong order in USB drive
Really wish this computer part he showed how to do it a little better. I have no idea what to press or how to get there to name or "format" FAT32 even. I went to my pc then to the game drive which I click on and does nothing. I'm so aggravated, I even went and borrowed a laptop for this and spent $80 for the gamedrive they told me I HAD to have because Sony says you need 259 MB so the flash drive wasn't even close. Now I hear you only need like 2gigs wth! I'm about to break this POS, I mean PS5 into a 1000 pieces...1 piece for every dollar I wasted on it!!! I'll video it to just for Sony.
Hey Im facing issues when charging stuff on back usb ports, my screen starts to dropout/blackout for a moment and then turn it back, do you evern experienced something like this? what it could be?
@@sur0x i’m not sure why it’s being triggered by the ports. might be a different issue altogether. but if you’re getting screen flicker in 4K you can usually remedy that by going [Settings>Screen and Video>Video Output>4K Video Transfer Rate ] and changing it to -1 or -2

issue's i've encountered while attempting to do this, when I go to that link, it just goes to a "page not found". it does not allow me to download any update info. seeing as this vid is a year old, the 2nd issue i found could simply be a web page updated. The Link's you have to click on for the update (rectangle blue box) is a box on your vid here, yet on my browsers its rounded ends not boxed.
