This is an updated video of my BMW i4 M50 charging on a Telsa Supercharger with the MagicDock. I last charged here in August 2023. At that time the charger was limited to 350 amps, so my maximum charging speed was limited to 150 kW. Now Tesla has upped the amperage to 500 amps. I was able to charge at a maximum of 191 kW. Also, Telsa makes a small change on how we retrieve the cable with the CCS1 MagicDock adapter. #bmwusa #bmwi4m50 #bmwi4 #bmwi5 #tesla #ccs

Very cool. Would you say the charging experience is on par with EA for example?

Much better. It took only 15 seconds to confirm payment and start charging. My previous stop was at EA. Needed to move charger as the first charge was de-rated. The second charger did ramp to full. speed.

Frist Tesla needs to add support for each EV manufacturer with an approved adapter. Currently, Ford and Rivian are the only supported brands. GM will be next to be supported. Other EV will be added later this year. These adapters will work on most but not all V3 and V4 Superchargers. Sites with the MagicDock, which has the built-in CCS adapter, support all CCS EV. You will need a Tesla account to activate the session.
