I had a similar problem, my system would freeze unless I kept my i7-9700K capped at 4Ghz. This problem seems to have been caused by a windows update from what I can tell; I've been experiencing it since August/September 2020. The instructions in this video fixed my problem, thanks!

Holla to everyone. I used to get this error at random times ranging from once a month, to 4 to 6 times a day. I had a brand new PC with ASROCK mobo and i5 9600k and this was the error i was getting. Flashing the bios with its newest version solved the issue for me. Hopefully that helps.

The problem with simply loading optimised defaults is that it will disable any memory xmp profile and reduce your gaming performance and productivity speed. Your ram is running at 2133 mhz which is very very slow. Please go back into your bios and reenable xmp on your ram!

How do I do the first and last step on an Msi motherboard??

To those who may be having this issue even with multiple fix attempts from videos like this. A lot of the times this is an issue that is directly caused by CPU problems as a lot of these fixes mention. If possible check the socket on the motherboard to make sure that pins on the motherboard aren’t bent causing the issue. If that’s not the issue, the most common problem is voltage issues to the CPU. I had a i7 6700k with the WHEA issue that was solved by increasing the core voltage to the processor in the Bios. My motherboard would auto configure the voltage to approximate 1.24V. In my case increasing the voltage to 1.32V solved my problem. As always be careful when altering any Voltage settings, although for the 6700k anything under 1.4V should be safe. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Hope this helps someone out there!

might be a little early to tell, but i just wanted to say a big fat THANK YOU for this video. im currently 25 minutes into a HUGE render. a full 20+ minutes longer than many attempts before that all ended with a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR ... well see what happens though... My pc might just totally shit the bed before the whole project renders haha

I have a i39100f with a asrock mb and a rx 480 as my graphics card and 16gb ram single ram not dual. And when i get the whea error i could be in a game around 30 minutes to an hour and bang it crashes with a bsod error whea and i have to power off the pc by holding power button for 5 seconds and sometimes it would rebot by itself with no bios i have to reset the cmos battery for it to start working again it happens every so often.cant figure out what wrong i tried everything and everything brand new mb cpu ram ssd power supply windows 10 all brand new a month old please help thanks

I encountered the same problem on my pc during some game sessions at completely random times, and the only remedy was to disable the CPU Turbo Mode from the BIOS. I noticed that the problem only occurred after a Windows 10 software update. Maybe I should carefully check the CPU voltage and try to re-enable the TM. Anyway thank you very much, precious video!

Not only did this not help, but now I'm getting a fan error. (Edit i looked it up and apparently you have to go to the advance menu, click on the monitor tab and change cpu fan to ignore. It'll be either set to n/a or monitor.

Hello Riley Hastings unfortunately I have a total different Interface. Mine look like "greyish and blue" and not black like yours.
