Mate, I just want to say a massive fucking thank you for posting this video. I’ve not been able to work for the past 3 days and was nearly forced to spend like £3k+ on a new system and I’ve tried everything and your video is literally the only place on the internet that I’ve seen that mentioned the issue with extension cables and this afternoon I’ve taken your advice and I’m now able to export videos again literally saving me and my team so much stress. Really appreciate you mate and thank you for having the patience to see it through and help others out 🙏
Hey MoBeast! I wanted to say thanks so much for this video! It literally saved my efforts in the end! I tried every troubleshooting method I could as well: Scanning with command prompt, updating drivers, even DDU'ing my drivers. I even tried replacing thermal paste on both CPU and GPU based on another comment I read from another person here. However, I recently just figured this pc i've owned for 3 years indeed were also using extension cables and I took them out immediately. Before this, I would be playing this dungeon in Skyrim and wouldn't even make it even halfway through without the WHEA issue popping up. Happy to say this time I just completed the dungeon as I'm typing this comment and didn't crash once! Thank you so much! Subscribe earned!
Anytime man I’m super glad this helped! I’m currently working on another issue unrelated to this that I can’t find much info on that I might have to make a few videos on. Funny how this PC build I have has tested my patience constantly lol
@@MOBEASTGAMING Jesus Christ, man. I hope that one doesn’t turn out a massive headache like this was. I’m glad I took this one patiently and I’m not sure if I could take another issue like this again 😮💨
So I came across the same guy you found on the internet stating that his cable extensions were causing his WHEA BSODs. (To be honest I didn't believe him) I took mine off yesterday (CPU AND GPU) and I haven't had a blue screen since. I have those same white ones you have but for both cpu and gpu. After months of checking my RAM, turning off my OC, checking the windows filesystem, hard drives, you name it this is finally resolved.
@@MOBEASTGAMINGit wasn’t the gpu extension cables in my case, must’ve been the 24 pin atx or the cpu power cables. Haven’t seen the bsod again so far. The extensions did look good tho…
Literally the goat, thank you for this video I’m sure it’s helped a lot of people and we thank you!! Was having the same issues and it’s funny cause I held my phone to read it but thanks man
So I have the same issue and came across on this video. I bought new RAM and SSD, clean reformat, even deep cleaning everything, pull out the cables, reseat the CPU. Man, I tried everything and I ended up WHEA error every time I'm editing on PremierePro, it keeps BSOD every time I'm exporting. Until I found your video and from the other guy, same scenario when it the GPU led light starts blinking (that indicates low voltage I think) it will start to crash!, and then I remove the extension cable, and plug in the original cables which came along with PSU. gladly, tried to render and everything came back to normal! man you save me from $$$$$$ hahaha! thanks! and hopefully will not encounter error!
Man I'm so glad this helped you! Reading your comment and just reading your relief made me laugh at my situation haha. I remember the feeling! Ever since I changed mine I never had an issue and it's been a few months. Glad I could help!
Thanks man. This solution should really be more readily available online. I was getting crashes with graphics heavy games on launch and after watching this video I got rid of the pcie extension cable and connected to the psu's pcie cable directly. Haven't had an issue since. For others - On windows 10 the error was 'WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR,' and when I updated to windows 11 the error was 'CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.'
thanks man, exact specs and exact problems had to wait a bit for the talking but it was all worth it in the end for anyone wondering its about the sleeves and the cheap 3rd party cables causing the gpu a hard time drawing power thus the BSOD
Hey this video popped once again so I’m thanking you now I don’t have the issue.I just sent my motherboard and gpu to aorus they did something and now everything is ✅
What cabel extensions do you have?? Becuase i have some and they are rated for 1000w of power transfer and ive had them for a out 2 months and got this error playing apex.
I've had these cheap basic Amazon ones for 4 years and they gave out. I swapped them out to the normal PSU cables that came with the power supply in box
I didn't have any PSU extended cables but after you video I was thinking maybe I'll pull out one of my 3080's and just leave one in. For kicks, I decided on removing the USB-C extension cable I had going to my Elgato Facecam Pro because it was an extension cable. Boom no more WHEA 46. This kind of leads me to a small theory. I wonder if the extension cables are adding too much resistance due to cheaper, plated or thinner copper. Just a guess.
i got the same error code but i have a pre built with the cables that came with it and ive tried everything and dont know what to do. Also whenever this happens, before it crashes my mouse will start to stutter then when i restart my pc or when it crashes it will be fine for the rest of the day. But as soon as i get on it the next day it will crash the 1 time like every other day. It only happens when i turn the pc on for the first time of the day
I’m having the exact issue and the most interesting thing is it is even getting worse now it won’t let me even login to windows my specs are good spent too much money on a build last month not exactly yours but have a 5900x and a 4090 having the same issue tried everything now I’m trusting you and going to change the cables wish me luck
@@MOBEASTGAMING it is happening again i can run kombustor nicely but whenni open gta v even o the lowest settings it gets up for 2 mins and then it freezes and monitor suddenly becomes dark and few parts are bright and then it crashes the pc and restrts
@@MOBEASTGAMING theres nothing with cables i checked them they all fine even tried another cables no change cpu is able to draw max power and gpu can use 90% tdp on max use
Getting messages and comments like this haven’t gotten old. I’m super glad this helped! I’m still shocked not many people are talking about this. Happy gaming !
i had that SAME exact issue and symptoms for nearly a year...did every fix you did to, until 2 months ago i did the only things left to do...disassembled the PSU, cleaned the dust inside, changed to a new power cable to GPU and all 4 sata cables to ssds, now its been nearly 2 months with out a single crash or fail, i dont know what of the things i did above fixed the issue exactly...and i dont want to touch the pc now to look for the exact thing that failed...but i suspect was same thing as you, the GPU power cable...crazy... My system MOBO. Asus rog strix b350-f gaming CPU. Ryzen 5 5600x GPU. Gigabyte rtx 2080 windforce oc PSU. Corsair RM 750x
omg i thank you so much!! been facing this issue over a month now, changed so many things, did a lot of tweaks but didnt help at all. you are godsend. can you tell me which power cords should i use to swap those white ones
this video saved me from spending thousands of dollars on new hardware. I tried everything on the internet except for this but this solved all my issues
Ridiculous! The BS we have to go through as PC owners.... I have been having the same issue with some differences in details. I am going to swap out the PCIE cables too, if that doesn't help I will RMA the PSU and/or the GPU. However I was aware of such issues with 3rd party cables so my current ones are those that came with my Corsair PSU, but they were also really tightly bent in several spots by the local PC builders I bought it from.
So what you went threw is sounding like what I’m dealing with, at first it would only whea uncorrectable error when I played anything vr even just running a vr game as a spectator (that’s just a game that I can play on standalone but I can make my pc join my game as a spectator echo vr spark bot,) so iv staterd with doing fresh instal of windows I do have almost maxed storage drives due to videos I need to go threw I got them out of red and still but now after the restart I could just boot the pc and it would do it after a while and then that stopped so after watching this I’m gona try what you did cause it’s sounding like the same thing and I have the Liam li strummer rgb cables and a long time ago I would bump them when cleaning and that would make the power disconnect and you are the first person who’s made a video like this and it sounds way to legit to not be the same reason so I’m. Righting this be for I go digging for my cables it came with for the psu but if don’t come back and say it didn’t work means it worked and I thankyou for posting this
i have the same issue for like 6-7 months straight, i changed my windows, my ssd, my hdd, my rams, it might be from the psu, this problem started just after i upgraded my m2 ssd and my rams, i had to remove the gpu from the slot so i can place my m2, that might ve done something to the cables
Hi MoBeast! i've got a similar issue but not with the extention cables, the WHEA error came from a 3x120, Fan made by cooler master with it's controller ( SF360R) Thank you for the video!
Same issue, Strictly happens when playing Steam VR with the cable. I too had the strimmer extension so I tried using the PSU cable instead and I was quite hopeful when it didn't crash when I started, But it crashed upon quitting to the game to the desktop with the WEHA error. Still haven't resolved this yet.
I wanted to drop in and remark that I've found a solution for my issue, I went into steam VR settings and turned off "Steam VR home" so it didn't take me to the home. For whatever reason, Quitting the application to desktop would take me to steam vr home and the PC would crash.
8 months in is your problem still gone? Because I fixed mine once (by setting GPU and Windows power settings to normal and balanced) and it took several months before it showed up again (by switching my CPU from MCE to an OC preset that comes with the motherboard..
I cant game on pc my pc had the same whea crash back in September my brother that helped me build my pc in 2022 he has been updated the bios that helps for a while but after a few weeks crashes these are my spec 5600x 3060 rtx 980 1T drive flower leadex 650watt 80+ gold mobo asrock b550m pro4 I don’t use any psu extension cords need advice given my way is really appreciated please and thank
I haven’t tried those websites but sometimes it lasts 2-5 or even 10 minutes before seeing a crash and sometimes it lasts about 45-130 minutes of gameplay before crashing my brother and his friend told me that my pc needs a fresh new window os but what should my last resort be if a new fresh of windows os doesn’t work
I have the same issue but i installed the cables which were coming with the PSU. Anyone got a solution for that? Or will i have to change the stock cables in to new ones? 😢
I took out the cable that goes from the power to the graphics, and once again I hit the graphics, it works for a while, it doesn't give an error, but after some time, this error appears on the blue page, why is it like this?
@nimabark if it’s the cable from the power supply to the graphics card, it’s because the cable is damaged and unable to supply the Graphics card with enough power for the GPU to do its job. So to it goes to a blue screen because that error and shuts off to prevent damage to any other hardware
Amd rx 570 rog strix My video card is overheating, while playing games or opening the internet browser, it gives a constant blue screen error. I tested the ram, it's ok. I just got the ssd.
for me i fixed it by removing my CPU (5900x) - 0.0375 undervolt in bios and let it run default fixed it instantly , had the undervolt since i bought the cpu 2years now was fine then suddenly didnt like the undervolt anymore not sure why
@@MOBEASTGAMING forgot to update this , eventually i had to swap it for a new 5900x , 1 of the cpu core's was causing it , Mobo i was using was MSI x470 M7
@@MOBEASTGAMING after testing for about a week i think i can sum it up to it being the cables, i recently added back the lian li strimmer cables i had previously and now i am getting the crash again so i might just go back to stock cables indefintly, sucks cause i loved the look of those cables
@mugfinitee7702 yea I know a lot of people spend big money on nice cables so maybe cheaper cables that aren’t stocks aren’t a great option. Glad you figured it out!
I'm dealing with this shit right now on my Acer Nitro laptop. I've had it for 3 years and in November from out of nowhere this fuckin bsod pops up. I tested the ram no errors, i applied new thermal paste didn't help, i replaced the nvme and reinstalled windows still blue screen. I'm at a complete loss and don't know how to proceed. Very very frustrating
This error can be so many things based off what the internet says. With laptops I’m unfamiliar with the issue I’m sorry , there are some good sales on laptops currently
@@MOBEASTGAMING Bro I completely erased windows and installed linux mint and it hasn't blue screened at all. Thing is I really like windows because it's very familiar to me and easy to use whereas linux is a bit more complicated and confusing. At least I have a functional laptop again I just have to learn more about linux to understand how to use it properly
Dude I watched this video second by second. i have a pc thats in my dorm atm and its having this exact issue. i have a relatively old build 2070 super i7 9700k. when i get back the first thing im doing is removing those extension cables that i bought from thermaltake a while back. if thats the issue i really dont know how to thank you brother. ill get back to this comment in 1 week.
@@MOBEASTGAMING Bro. i dont know how to thank you it fucking worked, Those stupid fucking cables. thanks alot for keepin it real brother u earned a new sub.
@ShrekDank wow man I’m so glad it worked!!!! I know the feeling it pain just trying to figure it out. Anytime man, I enjoy gaming and helping people out with this stuff to the best of my abilities
if i understand it right you turned it around right? that means the pin which was in the cpu, you put it in the PSU. pls tell me if understand it right and then i will test it greetings from Germany
bro i already have the factory cables of psu 8 years now and a 3080 gpu but suddenly this exact same problem happens when i only login to steam platform.. wtf could this be someone knows ? i play other games all fine.. only when i start logging in steam it happens.. any ideas ?
UPDATE: So i went ahead and removed the 3rd party Lian Li Cables from both my motherboard and GPu since i already was removing the GPU. Turns out i can finally launch my game. And i have a significant FPS boost where i normally averged 280FPS i am now sitting at 350-400 FPS in Rainbow Six SIege. Thank you so much MOBeast. I was just like you trying to find solutions. Reinstalled windows. did the drivers uninstall. Nothing had worked. IT first started off as random Blue Screens. After that it would be During specific times in the game when either performing tasks that would seem to take up CPU. Then it got more often. Until i had launched Either GTAV or Rainbow six Siege. And when loading anything that used the graphics card at mid load BOOM Blue Screen! It got so bad that my windows would freeze and i couldnt even access desktop icons. Same issue same error code on blue screen had to get my phone out and what not to record the error message. Thank you so so so much. I really do appreciate it and im glad it worked
BTW the video was a roller coaster of emotions. Since u mentioned placing a order on a cpu and gpu and saw the video was close to wraps. until u said ur friend gave u his GPU and i was like OH theres more!
It has nothing to do with hardware. I have a similar system with dual boot, and it works perfect with Linux, but after a few NVIDIA and Windows updates it started giving me that stupid blue screen error almost every day at the W10 partition. It is 100% software related. Windows 10 is absolute crap ! I use the power cables that came with my BeQuiet PSU and never had any issues in the same rig with the previous 2 GPUs. I STILL don't have ANY issues when the rig runs on UBUNTU. It only does that crap in Windows 10
guys im sorry but i still dont understan cuz my english is not so good so can some1 explain it to me in an easier way like tell me what is the solutoion of it
