This was really helpul but I mine doesnt seem to have a white latch, i used my flashlight but i couldnt see anything, if prolly broke with the door handle or something but this video was really helpful. Thank you
You got me thinking I got child locks and well outside handle was broke inside wouldn’t work I took a long skinny kitchen knife from outside of door seal clicked the safety lock went to inside door handle it came right open You da man mine was 2003 gmc envoy
Charlie, this is so helpful to actually see what you did! I have an issue with my KIA Rondo like this and wanted to see if there was some fix and here you are! On my driver door console I have a door lock control for the car.......do you have this also in addition to that switch?
I FOUND A WAY TO GET THE CHILD LOCK OFF W/O OPENING THE DOOR. I wedged A PLASTIC FLY SWATTER between the door and the door frame from the inside of the car. I looked on my other rear door to get an idea of where to aim (keeping the child lock OFF). I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. Hope this helps someone.
Also, not sure if this matters, but the fly swatter I used had these little pokey things on the top edge. Like this one:seasonsofamerica.com/products/no-touch-fly-swatter-scoop-with-tweezer
Can you kinda explain how you did this a little more for me ? I have a 2010 sonata and my door handle broke from the outside and then I put the child lock on like a dummy and I don’t think my year has the white latch like his does. If there’s a easier way I’ll take it
