My laptop was Lenovo Ideapad S145. I encountered this problem after switching from EUFI to LEGACY on BIOS. The Laptop boots up but NO DISPLAY or BLACK SCREEN. For other models, you may check out Lenovo BIOS Simulator download.lenovo.com/bsco/inde... for your reference...
SOLUTION: STEPS
1. Press Novo button (wait for about 10-15 seconds before accessing the BIOS setup)
2. press DOWN ARROW KEY "once"
3. press ENTER KEY "once"
4. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "3 times"
5. press ENTER KEY "once"
6. press UP ARROW KEY "once"
7. press ENTER KEY "once"
8. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "once"
9. press ENTER KEY "2 times" DONE!!!
If the solution above did not work, try the following troubleshooting:
► Perform a power drain: Remove the battery, hold the power button down and wait for the laptop to shut down, then hold the power button down for another 30 seconds, then turn the computer on and check.
► Turn off the computer, then reset the RAM. Reconnect and turn on the computer.
► Turn off the computer. Reset the CMOS battery connection. Reconnect and turn on the computer.
► Turn off the computer. Remove the battery, CMOS, ram, and hard drive connections (for about an hour), then long press the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect all parts, and turn on the computer.
► For a black screen, use the following keyboard shortcut: Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B.

Hello sir my laptop has the same nova startup screen and for some time i was turning my laptop on with the nova button but today its not working the light turns on and then quickly turns off and the power button is not working also please help:(

For those who are trying these keys but didn't work ..try what I did ..I just remove my laptop's battery then ensure there's no electricity on my laptop...then put in the charger and turn laptop ON (without the help of battery) ..then VOILA! it comes back to life!! I didn't even open other hardware..if still didn't work..try removing the RAM then clean or wipe it..then try again. Hopes this helps.

This is not working for me. I’m using a thinkbook 14 G2 ITL. Where exactly should these arrows are supposed to take us because when I connect my laptop to the monitor, it works and after pressing novo switch, I get 4/5 options and clicking down arrows and enter takes me to the BIOS setup and clicking right 3 times just takes me to the language section so the next arrow commands don’t do anything for me. Please help

I faced similar issue of Black screen with my IdeaPad gaming 3. Screen wouldn't turn on despite trying NOVO button and other methods then I removed my 2 16 gig RAMs and replaced their slots. Tightened SSD screws and viola it booted.

I've tried BIOS SETUP > BOOT but my laptop doesn't have the option Legacy support. I exited the bios setup and it is just restarting and the black screen persists. What do I need to do? Please help :(

Hi! I want to Hello, first of all, I want to thank you for these video tutorials you create; you're helping more than one person facing these truly distressing issues. In my case, I have a Lenovo V330-15IKB, which is experiencing the following problem: the screen is black when starting up, the power light and the caps lock light are on steadily, and the caps lock light cannot be turned off; it remains on. The computer is unresponsive. I tried pressing the Novo button and turning it on that way, I attempted to hold down the power button for 20 seconds, but it didn't work. I also tried accessing the BIOS as shown in the previous video, but that didn't work either. I opened the bottom cover, disconnected the battery, removed the CMOS battery, and unplugged a memory module for 40 minutes. Despite all these efforts, the problem persists. Any ideas for another test I can perform? Could my PC have an issue with the BIOS? Thank you very much for your help!
