Updated Motorhome Tour - 2.5 Years Full Time Van Life

After a second take here is my updated tour of my motorhome that I've been living in full time now for just under two and a half years, urban camping 99% of it. I run through the modifications I've had done and things that I still need to do.

It's funny you say that because earlier in the year/late last year I went through a really bad patch through basically ruining my career by trying something new which turned out not to be for me because it was ruining my home life. I'd never experienced it so bad before but I was in a mess... Functioning and working, never going sick or not doing my bit, but I was in a mess internally. These videos really helped. I think it's the escapism coupled with how friendly he comes across as. It's like you're sat with a friend.

Hey boss man, I’ve been in my micro motorhome for about 2 months now, fishing and camping, Chris at STJ is a nice chap. currently my tiny home has battery issues in the vehicle part, but hey ho I’ll get it fixed hopefully. I love your vids matey. you’re showing a lot of people the alternative way of living well and saving money, if folks disagree then that’s their problem.

Hi first time I picked up your video. I have bought a Globe scout motor home (2012) use it for work as a security dog unit, tax deductible as work vehicle 🚗 also use electric hook up on all sites I go on. I like my van looking like a van as opposed to a motor home if that makes sense. I have it marked up does the job, just make sure you insure as a work vehicle. am thinking of fitting cameras then it can become a cctv monitoring unit,along with sola,think that’s the way forward. Cracking videos, buddy very informative, keep it going, I think your always learning with a motor home and can never get enough info and also take living experiences and tips form others. 👍

Really hope you see this comment mate. Been following you for a little while as I'm loving your adventures and could see myself living in a motor home myself some day! I've got a few questions for you about your set up as you rarely ever talk about the cost of things. I know you did a video a while back listing your costs but you've never done a video on the costs of all the work you've added to your motor home! How much in total would you say you've spent adding everything to your home? Have you ever ran your batteries dry due to bad weather or anything? Love your videos, it is so lovely seeing someone with such passion for something! Keep safe brother! You're a legend! Great video yet again buddy, don’t worry about messy cupboards and the like, my main concern is when and I say again when I get my motorhome as I’m still waiting for the bloody solicitor to sort things out is dog hair as I have two black Labradors Duke and old lass Tilly as you can see to the left, but where I go they go too.

Looks like a pukka little set up mate! I would of probably gone for a very similar motor home if I didn't want a garage under the bed, so gone for a LWB sprinter and just started the build - can't wait to get on the road and come to a meet! I love the lifestyle and am working to save enough money to do something similar, as the last person said though it's also making me extremely anxious as I don't know all the rules etc. Your videos and RU-vid are a great help. Can I ask what the situation is regarding insurance and where the vans supposed to be kept etc. It's prob a dumb question but it's one of the 1st thi GS the ins ask me...(where's it kept, what's my address and so on) Thanks for the videos and any tips/advice. 👍

Hi Darren looking back at this vid we noticed you have had a water filter and tap fitted. Something we are looking at fitting in our LT31 VW Florida. I think we have found the same one. When yours was fitted, was it just joined on to the old system ? Or did they add another pump ? Keep up the good work fella :) Sue and Craig and Florie :)

We had the same problem withe our windows. Yours look like the same size. We had three done by EECO Halifax. Two same size as your's and a smaller kitchen windows. £620. Hope this helps

I was wondering the furniture/trimmings/cushions (not sure what the correct word is lol) that you have in there? Are they original or did you change them? The reason I ask is because the one thing that a particularly puts me off motorhomes is that the furniture always seems to look very dated and a bit ugly to be honest! Yours doesnt which is why I was wondering if you had changed it? Sorry I know I'm late to this video! Lol

Perhaps somebody in the comments might be able to help. I live in the states, and I was curious if anyone knew what the closest approximation to this Fiat would be over here? I'm built around the same size as Darran, and the sheer fact that he's lived in that for 2 and 1/2 years is the most Sterling recommendation for someone thinking about doing the same, but worried about packing in like a sardine.

Hi peeps I’m new to this. But I went to a few moter home places looking into buying one. But they al say , u can only use 12v sockets unless plugged into the mains.. I want to use my PlayStation and tv when off a camp site. Is this possible with solar panels ?? So I can use the 3 pin sockets when as when I want to? . Thanks dudes..
