Updating a Optiplex 380 with a GT 710 

have you checked inside the Nvidia control panel? Another thing could be in the bios so you may have to make some corrections inside of the bios... I would also reinstall the drivers with the new card

It sounds like something may have been switched off or something in an update perhaps. Checkout the setup multiple displays menu inside the nvidia control panel. Also make sure its not the cable.

I got a optiplex 380 with GT 710 2GB DDR3 and I got 4GB ram installed but it can’t even handle Minecraft or roblox

GTA 5 is very optimized but not really a gaming card. Better to go for a GT 1030 2gb as its much better.

Im pretty sure you would use the mini bracket but just remember you want to make sure you are not over wattage with whatever video card you pick.. a lot of new cards and even some used will come with multiple brackets for different case designs

I saw a Linus tech tips video where they tried this, they recommend you use a Q9550

@@Omabatfartsbruh Maybe he upgraded the power supply to make sure that its powerful enough. But dont think he did. GT 710 will be fine with the power supply. Maybe upgrade it when you go for a gt 1030.

@@Kanedis they make a low profile low energy version of the 1050 that may work but you only have a 25 watt power draw on the graphics card slot so your limit revolves around that.

A. 1030 is the highest you can go .... It all comes down to power BUT they do make a low powered 1050 that may work I'm pretty sure ETA Prime has done a video on it... I hope this helps

@@TheKillogicEffect how is that possible? This computer uses pcie 2.0, the gtx 10xx uses pcie 3.0, are they still somehow compatible? I used a card that had low power consumption but it didn't work, I thought because it was still too much power (66 watts), so I upgraded my PSU, let it hang off the outside of the case, and installed the card again, and it still didn't work, gave a 2-4 error light number meaning graphics card issues. I could only assume it was because it was pcie 3.0 and the optiplex 380 only has 2.0.

@@lazyh-online4839 its not GTX its GT and they make a low profile low power 1050. ETA Prime has a good video where he uses a low profile 1050 in one of these

You can run minecraft with fancy graphics, shadows and 9 chunk render distance on 45 - 55 fps And Gta V and Pubg on medium settings and 1080p And get around 40 fps
