In order to celebrate the release of the legendary Ulduar raid, I decided to remake the mount which RNG decided I don't need. This is a bit of a quick one, because I am experimenting with my video format, and I sadly didn't have a lot of time. I hope you good folks enjoy, and as always, feedback and suggestions in the comments!

The little cinematic at the end was so good ! A really neat idea. And the model itself is stunning. The best part of your videos is when you make little hidden details lost in the old low poly models appear again !

That's part of what makes it so satisfying :) I am always torn between putting more of my own spin on it or making it 100% loyal to the original. Bringing out the more subtle elements of the original design is one of my favorite parts of doing these

I'm glad to hear :) It just sucks that viewer retention is the most important thing on youtube. I might make a second channel to upload more random shit without worrying too much about algorithms and who knows I might put longer sections of the creation process on there or even a timelapse.

I adore your models and as an artist I fully understand the "F@(k around, find out" method of painting, sometimes it just works easier and it can help things look a bit more natural if you're lucky. Great videos as always Tomkek. Make sure you're treating yourself as nicely as you treat these old models

That would be a good day indeed :) I'm not holding my breath though The week was for the whole video. The model itself took around 20 hours. Unfortunately making the videos takes up the bulk of my time

I still remember how I have heard Mimiron's head and Mechano hog's noise in the background while AFKing in Northrend Dalaran. Boy this mount has been evading me for years now. As of yesterday, I have attempted for 212th times. Seeing how you've updated the model, my hats of to you mate.

I'm always in awe of how well you're able to replicate Blizzard's style in your texturing. I've never seen anyone else do it as well as you do. Blizzard should honestly buy these from you to use in the game. They're such faithful remakes that I don't think even an artist working in-house at Blizzard would be able to do much better

Every update you do to these models is such good work! I would love to see your take on some of the old class sets sometime, especially if you spend the same attention to 3D detail that just didn't exist back then but was merely implied. Either way, I'm sure I'll be amazed with whatever model you choose to update next and spend all night wishing they were really in the game.

Also, I am holding my hands in prayers that you will one day remake the stone drakes as they are my favorite drakes in the game. If not my second option would be Time Lost proto, or even the classic Invincible. just really want to see what magic you can do with dragons. Keep it up, seriously you are killing it!

please consider longer endings with more comparisons. For example side by side comparison still images. Its hard to appreciate the detail. You're very talented tho.
