@@Neothunder240yeah but Org still needs a damn seizure warning because of how dogshi* the armor artists are in WoW. Particle effects are a krutch for lazy design.
the war within datamine has a whole slew of new sets based on various professions (not in-game crafting professions but actual medieval careers) that have a great low-fantasy vibe.
@@Tomkektv Humans are basically weak and deformed Vrykul according to lore anyway xD Hope this vid gets a lot of crossover viewership for you. Love seeing the channel grow!
Jesus christ my guy, you absolutely NAILED it. It is incredibly how completely identifiable it is both as skyrim armor and wow gear at the same time, I'm genuinely so impressed, and on top of that the design is great as well, absolutely looks like a natural part of both games.
And only dream. Blizz adding another playable race in WW, with a possible second, and neither are vrykul.... despite the community been wanting that for ages.
@@ryssa2409 Yeah man, what else would we need when we get a constant focus and breakdown of toxic gendered stereotypes in wow, like men having a mans body and women having womens bodies ugh..
I was a bit on the fence to start with, but the final product speaks for itself - looks absolutely fantastic, both complex and simple at the same time, great work.
This turned out so well! Very cool. Never cared for the original armor design, personally, but it really pops with your subtle adjustments to make it fit the WoW aesthetic better!
Okay, this was a brilliant idea for a video, and the execution equally so. Would love to see more of this kind of crossover thing every now and then, if nothing else it shows an even higher degree of creativity and probably pushes your skills to grow even more
I would like to see Tomkek do 3d modeling full time, and see how far he can go with it, I think he has a lot of potential. Absolutely a great video, huge W. As a fan of skyrim and wow seeing this colab warmed my heart. 🔥💯👑
This got to be my favorite video of yours so far. It’s so good! I really enjoy your remakes of legendary wow sets, weapons and mounts, but this is next level. This is creating something entirely new, this is your interpretation, your tale. And it turned out soooo goooood
This is great! I love watching the coloring/texturing so much. Would love to see more elder scrolls stuff in the future if you're up to it! Maybe Oblivion horse armor from that beloved dlc lol
Why does this make me want to play wow again, same thing with your judgement remake, I know these are not in the game, but I WANT them to be!! GREAT WORK!
I've been playing both Skyrim and WoW a decent bit recently and was thinking how cool it would be to see Skyrim in a more WoW design or even WoW in Bethesda design so seeing this was really interesting and all that!
i know, it'd be a hellish amount of work with all the small spikes and stuff, but now i wish, you'd do the daedric armor some day in the future in the wow-style. Thank you very much for this! watching your videos makes me appreciate wow's artstyle a lot more, but also hits right in the meowmeow when you think how blizz itself uses the artstyle :(
Nothing wrong with talking about your feelings buddy. I think we've all felt like that. You're doing great. And honestly its good to hear that even the seemingly super competent/confident artists like yourself (and yes, you are that guy others aspire to be as good as. Let that sink in.) struggle with the same feelings can be encouraging.
Considering we're going back to Northrend in The Last Titan, fingers crossed we get something similar for questing sets. I mean, look at how cool the Arathi questing ones are from TWW. A man can dream...
Great video, might be cool to do a Warhammer Fantasy crossover, especially if you'd take the Mark Gibbons artwork as a basis since he was a concept artist on Tier sets for WoW as well.
Greetings Tom of Kek, master of the polygon count! I hope you won't mind this suggestion of mine. Armour of Paladin Arthas Menethil is what I would love to see you immortalise in digital form and glory.
Fantastic job, Tom! From one 3d artist to another, your work is incredibly inspiring. I will say that the only pieces of feedback I can give you on this are that the pants might need a bit more clutter, because they look a little barren, and the shades of brown you used I think will fade into the background compared to the more vibrant tones of many WoW sets. Other than that, stunning work, 9.5/10!
Amazing work, this is what wow armour should be more like. Really makes me wish wow armor was updated so everything was not just a skin texture for most of the the armor.
Your content is so good man. Always love watching it! My head cannon is blizzard starts giving you freelance work so we could see each of your remakes in game!
This is truly amazing skill, man. I'm not sure how worth your time it is, but it would be awesome to see Arthas Lich King armor updated and modeled for the player character. The cloak is the only thing I'm not too sure how you could make work though.
Microsoft owns both Bethesda and Blizzard. They unironically could make such a collab happen if they wanted to. Great work once again Tom. I LOVE your narration over your process so much and see your process through that lens.
God damn the armor came out amazing. 11/10 effort Don't beat yourself up for the stuff you make, leather, and especially fur, are a real pain in the ass to look good. And I think you pulled it off quite well as a first attempt. Can only improve from here
I've always been complaining about Plate sets not having enough variety, instead all being shades of knight. Especially Warrior sets. Just occasionally, sets that look more barbaric would've been dope. Now this. This is pretty much what I wanted for ages. It's criminal that Warriors don't have sets that look more like this. I would mog into this, 100%. Good job. On the topic of Warrior sets, and if you're up for challenges, actually, I'd like to challenge you to try and make a sort of barbaric looking Warrior Tier set. Feel free to go buck wild, but the only real rule you should follow here is that it can't be full plate. You have to show off those muscles, right? If it helps with inspiration as well, the Flame Giant model from WotLK has an awesome look to it. Dude has bracers made out of worn and battered shields he's probably looted from dead guys, is wearing all hide and leather, but more importantly, he has a Proto Drake as a cloak, which is fucking awesome. Look to the Flame Giant for ideas, trust me, there's potential, especially with the Proto Drake cloak.
Your work is always so amazing! The amount of hard work and detail you put into each of your videos is astounding, and the final products are always breathtaking ❤❤❤ I don’t know if you take request/ideas, but if you are interested in maybe doing something a little different, maybe you could try tackling another mount? I always thought that a hydra mount in WoW would look so cool, especially with the newer models from WoD and beyond. ❤
I really wish WoW had more Norse like armor... because they have little to nothing that actually involves fur of any kind and they dont have anything that is even close to being historically accurate, which would be awesome to see as well
'the netherlands is basically england without the sunny weather', someone has misinformed you on our weather sir, we only have sun as a lie for enough days for you to switch into lighter clothing so you can get drenched by rain in a t-shirt and shorts.
