Updating Speedometer After Bigger Tires and Axle Ratio! Bully Dog GT Tuner

I recently installed a 6" Rough Country Lift on my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. The truck sits on 35" tires, and along with the bigger tires I went from 3.73 gears to 4.10 gears. Making those changes affect the speedometer and therefore need a tune to update the computer. In this video I install a Bully Dog GT tuner and show the results!

Regular/premium tune refers to the octane you are running. Stock allows you to make all of the adjustments without a tune at all.

the truck looks great. those mickey thompson’s are a little loud. how does it ride? my rough country lift is awesome, it is a little stiff but it smoothed out my ride and was way better than the old worn out crap that used to be under there.

Thanks! Yea the Mickey Thompson’s definitely like to sing down the highway. I honestly love the way the truck rides. It’s a million times better than it was before but I would contribute a lot of that to replacing the worn out components. I was getting tired of the truck but all of this has made me flip 180 on it and just run it til there’s nothing left

Did you notice a loss in power after the lift and 35s ? Or did the gear change and tire size bring the power band back to stock?

I swapped my axles that had 3.73s to axles with 4.10s when I did the lift so I didn’t get a good feel for how the ratio was with the bigger tires but I will say I feel like I didn’t notice much of a difference going from one to the other

Can u Plz help me 2014 ford f-150 ecoboost 3.5... Change axel From 3.73 to 4.10.... Using same tires... My speedometer it's 10mph off... Took it to ford to change the info from 3.73 to 4.10... But it didn't work, still 10mph off :(

Did you do the gear swap yourself or did you get axles from another rig

I had parted out a previous truck that had axles with 4:10 gears and used those axles

You have heard about that tuner because it is ancient. 2GB SD card is the max size they support. Not that it matters but when the morons forget to put one in the box it is a real bitch to find one. Then the software doesn't sink with the blank card.... HP Tuners FTW!
