Hi All, Here in this Video we have shown how to upgrade RAM and SSD of your Lenovo ideapad S145 laptop. The easiest simplest and the most cost effective ay of making your laptop or desktop fast is to increase the RAM and Swap the HDD with an SSD. NVME SSD M.2. No need to buy anew laptop just do this and your laptops performance will be super. It will be a turbocharged machine. Just make sure you do a fresh install of the windows to the new SSD or close your existing OS from HDD to SSD using cloning software. Your machine will boot faster with in seconds and also programs games will load superfast overall the whole machine will be super responsive. So say good bye to the laggy system and get it refreshed with few bucks and little time of yours.

dost wohi arna hai jo iss video mein kara hai, ram is fine but ek m.2 ssd laga do bas and then OS clone kar lo hdd se ssd mein. and then boot from ssd. ya fresh os ssd mein install kar lo .. innstall ke baad hdd waala os delete format kar sakte ho .. laptop mast fast ho jayega

Yaar agar hai battery drain ka issue to aap bas ek kaam kar sakte ho power setting mein changes karo, falu programs startup waale hatao and run you pc cooler. Yaani ki ventilated jagah par use Kara Karo. Battery change se koi farak nahin padega.

hi sir , aap ddr4 2400mhz or 2666mhz ram le lo 4gb hogi add 4gb more to it and 1 500gb ssd, head to crucial website and get you laptop scanned and if it shows m.2 ssd get that otherwise sata ssd. M.2 slot if available then buy sata as it will just get installed like plug and play like ram only. if sata then you will have to swap your HDD with sata ssd. hdd you can use as external hardisk with the help of HDD 2.5inch enclosure.

if you are into video editing then 16gb will be fine otherwise 8gb will do fine 90% of the times... choice is yours... because the 3200U processor wont make much use of the 16GB ram..

Don't know why companies don't provide a screw.. no problem you can get it separately at hardware shop or use one from tha back flap.. back cover of laptop.. one screw less on cover won't do any harm

just format the C drive of your HDD .. it wont boot and in BIOS delete the HDD boot option .. that will help

yes chandra, you can do that one ram is already soldered i think 4GB one, you can add 8gb or 16gb into it but i would suggest add 8gb only, reason that much ram you will never need also processor will never be able to use that much ram so its like wasting money 4 i think already there get 8 make it 12GB ram a healthy ram and also saves yoi money

Bhai minimum 250gb ki sata SSD le lo and 4gb ram. And same way mein upgrade karo jaise video mein dikhaya hai 3.5k ke ander kaam ho jayega aapka. Video ke neeche ram aur SSD ka link de rakha hai. Scan the pc using crucial scanner tool and you will know if m.2 can be installed or not.. most probably yes.. and the ram your cpu supports is 2133/2144mhz get any brand crucial samsungwhichever is better value .yes you can clone and that's the only way you can enjoy the full benefits of nvme ssd. Both but if you install m.2 .. sata can remain intact...for sata ssd...you will have to take out sata hdd

Yes you can use both at same time... No it won't affect your speed. Just make sure you install os and programs in the faster drive..m.2 nvme

Benchmark using user enchmatk website with both SSD, may be p2 is not upto the mark or what's your ram. If it is 4gb then atleast 8gb required

It's very simple in this laptop as you can see in the video... I would suggest you to buy 4 + 4gb ram option plus m.2 sata SSD one which has 2 notches.. as your laptops supports m.2 also keep the existing hdd. For the after options i will be uploading a new video soon on how to clone and do the settings in bios. Just chek the ram specs should be same as your existing ram using cpuz software. Thank you for the detailed explanation, i was able to upgrade my laptop with 8 GB RAM from Crucial and added a 500 GB Samsung Evo 980 NVMe SSD. The laptop's boot and performance has increased, however i am planning to replace the current HDD with a newer SSD. Could you please advise what's the max capacity of SSD in can put in to replace current HDD. Current HDD is 1 TB and i am planning to replace with 1 TB SSD will it support? I am planning to go with Seagate Firecuda, appreciate your response and TIA.

no your data will not be erased it will be in your existing HDD and the new SSD will be extra storage. You can fresh install the OS into SSD or you can clone the HDD to SSD.

ram are hard to repair and its tricky but what you can do is clean the copper point with an eraser reinsert it and it might work if not get a new one. Hope this helps

I see. Can you suggest me some tips on how to know if my ram is the one that is causing my laptop to not open. I think it's a ram issue rather than the power button on my keyboard, because there are also beeps and when I can boot my laptop trough other means, I can't use it properly because it crashes almost every five seconds. RAM issue is when you see blue screen and it crashes.. u can get into bios and open the laptop in safe mode if it boots then i would suggest running a scan, updating drivers and all. But if u cant do that get it checked with some professional. it might be hardisk, high temperatures or something other than this

Hi sher... May be you have both slots filled.. if you have 4gb ram then it should be 2 + 2 i guess you can remove both with 4 + 4 or just ine 2gb with 4 making it 6gb... Just install cpuz software to find out what's the ram specification in slot 1 and alot 2 hope it helps
