I finally broke down and decided to replace the technical van with something way cooler! A 1962 Mercedes unimog 404. Here’s a quick over review/review and we dive right in to taking it for a spin. Everything from military use to off-road trail exploring to even using at airsoft/milsim events. She’s a fun machine! Thanks for sharing this experience! This car is a Swiss army truck, one can immediately tell when looking at the roof. Mine is a former radio truck, " Funkkoffer" from the German army. The late writer Olyslager wrote: " its mobilty is phenomenal " .good luck!

Check your carb under the dog house. My cab smelled like gas and I found mine was leaking a little. It’s very common

How are you able to drive one ? I'm 6'2 and I struggled to even fit in it as I never saw a cabin so small and if I remerber correctly you are taller than me.

It’s not roomy lol but it’s ok. I have the seats all the way back and on the floor. Plus this model has the taller cabin it. And yes I am 6’7

That must be why, the one I was in was a civilian wersion with hard roof, doors and glass, like a regular single cab pick up truck@@Nikoesht
