We don’t have a camper van yet, but we really like your Airstream-19. Among many other great features, Airstream seems to put so much emphasis on good views via many windows, which is so great. Although it looks like all those windows may take away some closet space, but we think as far as our personal needs (we prefer trips of shorter nature), the available space might work just fine. It certainly seems to work for you, which is another part of why we like your videos so much (apart from the great quality, well balanced cut, your joyful charismatic personalities and so on), because we see many similarities in your videos to us and our intended use and needs. So other than seeing your exciting travel adventures, your videos are also a great inspiration for us about our future plans to have such vehicle. That said, these upgrade videos are truly great as well. Although it may be a bit discouraging to see having to do so many upgrades to an otherwise luxury vehicle, just to have things perfect. Airstream probably should have made some of these convenience upgrades standard or at the very least factory optional. Anyhow, we continue to keep catching up watching your adventures and we are looking forward to many more great videos. Cheers. 😻

Awww….thank you so much for your kind comment as always. It sounds like your style of travel is like ours. For us right now we can only do short trips so the storage is not a problem at all. We also like to eat out and don’t cook that much so the small freezer is not a deal breaker either. We LOVE the big windows in the back of the AI19 compared to others 19’ campers. It would really help if you are handy because owning an RV requires so many repairs. The upgrades never ends…. Lol It would be nice if Airstream could just put some of the monitoring upgrades in as standard like you said. Hope you will have your dream camper soon. 🤗

This is very useful information. I think every one goes through upgrading. Never ends. Just ordered a EcoPro Delta 2 inverter for the same reasons. My wife said I should have videoed all the upgrades to the RV and the tow vehicle. Unlike you, she is too shy. Love you guys and always look forward to your videos. Thanks!

@@jasonhayes2778 It seemed to be the best product and my wife found some sale price with a good discount. I have no idea what she paid but with her shopping skills, it was a good deal. BamBam is correct about the coffee maker having a large current draw and that is exactly what we need.

@@dougblalock5175 I own the same make and model as Bam Bam. I actually have a Goal Zero 1500X (previously owned a couple of GZ1000s) for the 2000W inverter that has a 3500W surge for the very reason Bam Bam would like to upgrade the stock 1k inverter. My GZ1500X is integrated into my electrical system so when I turn on the GZ AC outlet my rig switches to 30amp power and uses the GZ1500X for all AC applications. I don't use it as much as I thought I would but it's nice to have during cold temperatures and plugging in heating blanket and etc.

Thanks for the great videos. My wife and I have a BC 20X, but are thinking about trading it for a Sprinter-type van and the Interstate 19 appears to be the best option for us. Curious if you have any views on a few questions we have. First, do you ever regret not getting the 4.5 suspension upgrade? It would seem to me that the electronically-controlled shocks would be more in keeping with the idea that the Interstate is meant to be almost completely operable from the inside. I actually have Falcon shocks on my Wrangler with the same adjustment set-up, but was thinking it might be nice not to have to fish my hands underneath the van every time I want to make a change (as I do with the Jeep). Second, do you guys do much boondocking? If so, have you looked at different tires? If so, any thoughts/advice re tires would be appreciated. Third, how do you level? I know many vans from Airstream offer built-in jacks that will automatically level the van at a campsite, but the Interstate 19 does not appear to offer this option. Curious what you guys are doing and what, if any, upgrades you have looked at to make leveling a less manual process. Last, do you have a mattress topper or anything else to make the bed more comfortable? We have a topper for our BC 20X, but have been thinking about getting a custom mattress - although we are now waiting as we may just trade it for the Interstate 19. Any thoughts/advice on sleep comfort would also be appreciated. Again, thanks for all the great info. Your videos have been very helpful!

Thanks for watching Anthony! My husband do regret not being able to control suspension from inside the van sometimes but he also didn’t want the extra height that comes with the 4.5 suspension. Our van would look too funny with the big gap between the tire and the van. Lol Unless we change to a bigger rims and tires. Since we don’t plan to boondock much or go off roads in the near future we don’t have plan to change to bigger tires yet. Our style of camping is more of glamping so we like the softer and quieter ride. We are concerned with bigger tires we could hear more road noise??? We haven’t use the block levelers yet since most of the campsites that we have been too are pretty leveled except for one. For that one we raised the bed up a little bit when we slept and took a shower at the campground shower facility. At another campsite where it was slightly unleveled that the shower water didn’t drain completely. I used the squeeze to push the water toward the drain. We haven’t found a way to upgrade the automatic leveler yet. It would be great to have it.

@@BamBamRVAdventures Thanks for your quick reply! I’m going to do some research into tire options, but tires that would work better on dirt and gravel roads might not have as negative an impact on the ride and noise as you’d think, if my experience with other vehicles is anything to go by. Usually, the pick-up in capability far outweighs any negatives. We’re also looking at the E1 upgrade, which would seem to solve all of the power issues you mentioned in another video - although I think that has only recently become available. We also lean toward a more “glamping” style of camping, but definitely prefer to go “off grid”. We’ve found that there are so many campsites down a dirt or gravel road that provide so much more privacy and a feeling of really being in nature, that we don’t want to give up that capability if we switch to a Sprinter-style van. I will also have to do more research re leveling. It’s quite easy with our BC 20X, but I wonder if that would still be the case with a van. Really enjoying all of your videos and it’s very helpful that you guys have dealt with so many of the issues that we would expect to have. Very helpful in understanding what the real budge would look like. Looking forward to more videos.

@@anthonymrskipt9252 The E1 package is a great option on 2023 AI but I saw very little storage space left of the garage portion in a picture that someone posted on Facebook group. You would have to install a storage box behind the van for more storage space. We are thinking of asking the dealer to install 2 additional lithium batteries. However, that would take away some space on the sides in the garage portion though.

I just looked at this model today at a dealership. Do you find that the size of the RV is big enough for both of you as you travel? There are only 2 useable upper cabinets + the tiny one across the back, plus what you can store under the couch.

Hi Stephen, so far we only went to Zion and Bryce NP for 8 nights trip and we had enough storage space. We didn’t bring our big fire pit or air fryer. We only brought cast iron pan and butane cooktop. We didn’t cook much at all during that trip. Our friends cooked and we ate out some days. Freezer is tiny. I don’t think we could have store enough meat in there for a week. Fridge space is big enough.
