Hello hello mom and dad meet world we upgrade a 2007 iMac that we found at thrift store quite a few months ago. This is meant to be more entertaining as opposed to educational. Attempt everything you see in this video with caution. We are not responsible for your actions. The goal was to see if we could make an obsoleted 2007 iMac somewhat useable in 2023. Something you could put in the kitchen or den and browse the web with, check email, and watch RU-vid videos. I answer is yes.
We bought an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 on ebay for $25. This was needed to install a patched version of Mac OS Catalina. We already had a 2.5" 500gb ssd installed in a 3.5" cage adapter. (if you don't already have one factor in the cost of a ssd and adapter)
We used our Mac Studio to make the dos dude 1 patcher usb drive that we'll use at the very end of the video.
