I have that exact welder. Looks like you're running Flux core. I found by using solid wire with shielding gas it produces a cleaner weld with less spatter. Nothing wrong with flux core though. If ypu like stick welding you should look into one of those little lunch box inverter types. I bought one off Amazon for around $100. I love it. The brand I bought is called Hone. So far I've welded the winch hitch and stabilizer mounts to my car hauler with it, plus some other jobs. It works great. In fact that's the only welder I use these days.
Thanks for the suggestions. I never bought the MIG attachment for it. I've been thinking it is time to do that. I'm also checking out some other units. I'd like to add a TIG and stick welder to my kit.
The one ton unit loaded up and towed without any issues. The one key thing this video doesn't show, though, is the pair of stabilizer jacks I put on the rear corners of the trailer. I'm editing that video right now. I'm really glad I added those. If your trailer doesn't have stabilizers, I suggest at least putting a jack stand under each rear corner when you load up tomorrow.
