Upgrading leveling system on a NEW Class "C" RV

I have a customer that would like a BIGFOOT automatic hydraulic leveling system installed on their 2019 Leprechaun. I was shocked to see it had a system already and that it was electric. So here is a quick run down of the old system, and what you get from Quadra.....the makers of BIGFOOT!

Where is your shop? Do you still do repair work or full time videos now?

The shop is in Apache Junction, AZ. I do repair work full time both mobile and at the shop. I make videos when I have time and never on the customer's time. Thanks!

You are my hero! I am considering having the Bigfoot leveling system installed on my 2002 Sunseeker LE 2100 which has the Chevy Express 3500 chassis, do you have a video of the installation on that chassis?

wow, you have a lot of passion and patience brother... Love your work ethic... Hope that went ok (edit watching the second video now)... We are looking to replace the Atwood system (1 of 4 not retracting)... Would love your opinion on what replacement system would you recommend for a 2007 40' Tiffin Phaeton QSH?

Those stabilizer jacks are for sure mounted weird. For sure not ment to level the rv just stabilize.

Thanks for your time in making this video. I gained some insight that helped, I do believe the front ones were mounted 6 in from the REAR Cab mount in stead of the Front mount . I can’t believe they put the 1800# electric @#$& in the middle of the Rig .... not that it could anything anyway.. So , with the Bigfoot jack mounted were you did .. can it still lift the tires?

Do you have any videos on the installation of the Bigfoot AQ-DPA1 for Diesel pushers? We own a 2007 Newmar Ventana 3933 and we are one of the many 'victims' of failing Atwood electric levelegs which are no longer available (even Lippert, which bought Atwood decided to discontinue them and leave the old customers hanging). The nice thing about the AQ-DPA1 is the fact that it has 4 pumps by the jacks and I believe the existing electric 12VDC wires can be used to run those 4 pumps. So the installation should be straight forward. Or am I missing something? Thanks,

I do not have a video on those jacks. Those are the jacks I thought I was installing when I quoted the job, but found the system different when I unboxed them. It's definitely possible the existing harness might be just thick enough to use especially if you double up the two jack wires to be power and run a frame ground at each jack. Good luck!

Thank you for the quick response. In order to keep my old Atwood system a little longer, would you know of any sources that sell or refurbish the drive motor / gear box assembly of the Atwood 66541 front leveleg (15" travel - 7.5K). The label on the electric motor reads: Atwwod Mobile 66104 12VDC PD-35F-1001, E186696 I/P, 300W AOM, 110705. Thank you!

I don't know of any company. I would keep a keyword search in ebay for the components as they do pop up from time to time....just not when you need them.

I would honestly not recommend a built in leveling system, although this bigfoot system is somewhat affordable, all these systems seem to fail at some point....lol. Manual crank down levelers that mount to the bumper is what I would install. There are not too many system intending for a Toyota chassis Thanks!

The existing system is not a leveling system at all it is a stabilizing system and AZ Expert should already know that!!!

I'm not sure there is a difference and are interchangeable terms. The electric system was setup to "level" the motor home not just stablize. No RV leveling system should be used to lift the tires off the ground.

@@AZExpert negative. A stabilizer system is designed to take the shakiness out of the motorhome. It will somewhat level the motorhome. You can put some pressure on it but is not able to take the weight of the motorhome. A leveling system such as used.on a 5th wheel will level the rig. Ask the manufacturer there is a difference.
