A couple of months ago, we unboxed a brand new set of Baer Brakes SS4+ 13" discs for the front of our '69 Dodge Charger R/T project car "Brazen." Unfortunately, a mix ups in the ordering and some delayed parts pushed back installation of these big ol' stoppers until just recently - and here's the documentation of us upgrading to these modern brakes! Great informative vid. Back in 2007 when i set up my nitrous gsxr even at the suzuki dealer, he told me for every 1000 $ you spend to go fast spend 300 $ to slow down.

The Brake upgrade: Soooo,,, How was the performance??? Did you notice significant improvement in stopping power or effort? What was the difference in Fade after repeated hard stops? Oh, What wheel rim diameter are you using to fit over the new brakes? Thanks for doing the upgrade and posting. I've been following the build and taking notes. Even,,, purchasing a few of the items in a posted upgrade video or two.

To be honest, we’re still chasing air in the system. Even bled it 2 times since this video and the pedal still feels soft. What we do get is far better response and bite during a footbrake launch. Remember this is a street/strip car so I’m not out on a road course.

I have the same setup on the front and back of my GTX. I like them but, they groan and squeal when cold. The shims are difficult to get even. I had to use shims.

They're likely squealing because they're not centered on the rotor - and that's due to the shimming of the caliper. It took quite a bit of grinding and massaging to get those billet brackets to fit the factory spindles.
